Wow. This is another excellent car from Honda. What an invention, what an automaker!

I have a problem with my allroad (2.5tdi 2002 automatic). When I try to engage drive all the dashboard lights that indicate which gear I am in come on together and the car will not move. If I switch the engine off and try again the problem goes away after one or two attempts. Any ideas? Thank you.
Got the check bulbs warning on the dash and the only one I can find 'out' is the long led on the boot lid. how do you change this? Merc want £81 for one, any lower prices anywhere?
Access to the hi-level brake light requires removal of the boot lid trim and fittings.Check the 2 pin connector for power and earth supplies. If either or both are missing, then there could be broken wires to th boot lid where they travel up the hinges. If it is a cabrio ,then the wires run through a rubber tube.hth
We must have had AT LEAST 7mm of snow here in Surrey, on the way from work I saw a car abandoned with the front badly smashed in from a morning prang.
The morning drive consisted of people going at either 2mph or driving as though it was a clear summer day.... Read more
Wednesday we had an inch and a half in Billericay. No roads were gritted so it lay over ice.
I own an X Trail with M+Snow tyres so I was fine. However I did pass people spinning away whilst I drove past up hills etc. I rescued a colleague and we got into work. No fuss. Plenty of people had real difficulty one in a ditch, Essex had people injured and over 80 accidents. Left the Hybrid at home.
I recently received a window places fine from Town & City Parking for parking outside the white lines. I(after reading advise give for a similar case on Honest John site) ignored it and gave no response I have now had a second letter advising I now owe £60 wit threats of court or debt recovery! I have again not responded in any way. The Car park is servicing the Birchwood Shopping Centre Nr Warrington Cheshire Which has a large ASDA outlet.
The area where I parked had no markings and was not in any way obstructing throughways. Since the fine they have now hatched the area with Yellow lines. (fair enough) Am I doing the correct thing or should I pay up?? Read more
Date changes very little, you are still free to ignore everything sent by someone trying to scam money out of you.
In cases before 01/10/2012 that's a safe option as they're unlikley to be able to identify the driver. If the allegation arose after 01/10 then the landholder can pursue the keeper in the County Court irrespective of whether or not he was driving.
Advice above is only good then if you're convinced you can win in CC. Ignoring won't help; you'll need a defence good enough to either (a) convince the claimant to withdraw or (b) win in front of the District Judge....

As a semi retired Technician and have owned repair shops, We'd always check the price of a genuine part sometimes we got a pleasent surprise on price. Other wise we fitted valeo OE for lots of car companies and LUK which nine times out of LUK box contained a Valeo clutch as per the other guys here I agree only fit the best reliable. Only had one come back on a LUK a faulty pressure plate (very heavy and strong on the actuation, we were paid labour and and sent clutch free of charge). I hope someone can help.
I have a pug 406 '03 plate which starts fine in warmer weather, but is slow to start when temperatures get towards freezing. The battery is full of life so ok there. The engine turns over without issue but is just slow to fire, maybe 5-6 seconds, sometimes longer. My wife's car is a Citroen with the same HDI engine and fires within 2 seconds every time no matter how cold. ... Read more
Thanks for your help gents,
something for me to work on.
I've had my car just over 2 yrs and have on occasion had to have ford parts for it. I go to my local Ford Dealer with the reg no but they can't find this model on their database. So back I go with VIN number and they still can't find it as it appears to be a year change model. Some excuse. I'm baffled. Last week I needed an EGR Valve and they now need the part off the car taken in so that they can match it with another and once identified search their stock in the hope they strike gold. Perhaps my car doesn't exist with fords yet I have no problem taxing and insuring it. What's going on (or not)

And make sure you check, with a fine tooth comb, every aspect of the car, including the wheels. Not just a glance, but a really thorough check. My daughter is fighting a £75 claim for spurious damage to a wheel on a loan car.
Have been told there is a switch in the boot that shuts off the rear parking sensors is this
correct, as I cant find one in my motor. would it more likely be a blown fuse that has stopped them working if so what does it come under in the fuse box lid diagram.... Read more
There is no shut off switch in the boot.Do the reverse lights work?if they do ,then the fuse is ok and the fault is elsewhere.hth

That may be a fault with the F125 switch inside the gearbox, get it fault code scanned first.
