when you got to a surgeon or consultant and he suggest a certain cousre of action its highly un likley that they will spend 20 mins explaining their reason why.

I always find in the motor trade that most people will ask advice then do the complete opposite & I reckon i can put money on that fact that Robin the tech would agree ! & normally the recipient will take as gospel the advice he gets down the pub.

Most likley due to lack of care fitting !

At one time i used soley LUK for years and fitting 55-60 per week would get may be 2-3 back in a year with a fault and most caused by poor driving.

Sachs, we used to fit soley before LUK and used to get 10-15 a year back, Valeo were almost 100% Borg & Beck were total grief and very unreliable and support was poor !

As a semi retired Technician and have owned repair shops, We'd always check the price of a genuine part sometimes we got a pleasent surprise on price. Other wise we fitted valeo OE for lots of car companies and LUK which nine times out of LUK box contained a Valeo clutch as per the other guys here I agree only fit the best reliable. Only had one come back on a LUK a faulty pressure plate (very heavy and strong on the actuation, we were paid labour and and sent clutch free of charge).
