Increasingly I find I'm getting cut up on roundabouts and main roads. There is no serious risk of collision in these incidents but to avoid collision I have to reduce speed. I can understand drivers doing this when traffic is heavy but it happens irrespective of how busy roads are.
I find this behaviour really irritating but if I sound my horn the "offending" driver often seems bemused or reacts aggressively.... Read more
I note (with the faintest touch of schadenfreude) that the tesco cars site is stopping trading as they were "unable to souce enough cars" and were selling a mere 150 cars a week, But is the real reason that customers were staying away in droves, as you didn't get to see the car till you paid a deposit and it was delivered to you. Or if the car became unavailable...... Read more
think it's more to do with a large section of the GBP, brainwashed by years of left / liberal / socialist propaganda, having a downer on any business that seems to do extra-ordinary well.
I do love how everything on these forums comes back to 'lefty brainwashing.' Total nonsense but its good fun to read. There seems to be this sense that the Tory-right is the only legitimate way to view something and people are 'brainwashed' if they don't agree with you. Interesting....

I have just had my fault code read on my car is the fault is coming back as the Lambda sensors, but apparently there are 2 sesnors, one within view of the engine bay and the other down the system somewhere. Other 106's only seem to have 1 sensor, why does mine have two and where abouts is it? Read more
I think around 2002 the dual sensors came in - if you have the close coupled cat on the manifold with the sensor sticking out the top, then the second one is at the base of the downpipe underneath.
My 2002 106 had the two sensor setup, one of them was faulty from new, took the dealer 18 months to figure out the problem.
Honest John's answer to a question in Daily Telegraph 31/03/2012 said the electric motor on Fiat Panda can burn out on full lock.
Is this when turning, doing a U turn, reversing, holding it on full lock for how long?... Read more
What a terrible design. Why can't they put a hall sensor on the column and cut the current if the wheel isn't being turned? Modern relays do not energise the main circuit if the battery isn't sufficiently charged to spin the engine to prevent the inrush current burning the out the motor.
I'm glad I've got conventional power steering, much more robust.
I have recently changed the Fuel pump,Injectors and turbo my car runs but in the higher gears it has no poke ! it smokes in 2nd and 3rd when i push it slightly.Been told my timing might be out as i done the fuel pump myself i could have moved the cog when i put it back on. Read more
Intercooler pipes. I hope you didn't change all those bits to try and cure the problem?
It's always the pipe after the turbo, near the crankcase breather. All your boost escapes out the split, giving you crap performance and smoke.
