The wife is looking for a new car and after visiting several dealerships one particular model caught her eye, the salesman at the time mentioned it also had 0% interest over 12, 24 or 36 months with a 50% deposit. A few days later we arranged a test drive and she liked the car very much, needless to say we put an order in for one, again it was mentioned about the 50% deposit and 0% interest....I had checked this out myself but could find no such promotion.

The finance and other details were to be sorted once the car had arrived so a small deposit was placed. Today the wife recieved a phone call from the dealer to say they had made a mistake and there is no 0% interest, but can offer low interest which would put approx £10 a month on top of the intended monthly payments.... Hello Gazzadfc, I agree with Tony g, the contract agreement was dependant upon 0% interest. Such a major variation of the terms now would constitute a breach and you would be within your rights to cancel, recover your deposit and walk away. I would do that anyway. As already alluded to; would you now trust this dealership in way in future!

hi, im in need of the next suggestion - ....i have changed the camshaft position sensor and the fuel filter and now the fuel pump..r, as suggested by many people as a potential resolution, which has helped, but as soon as i go over 50mph going up hill, the warning light comes on. if i dont increase my speed, it just flashes with no impact on performance, and stopping/restarting resolves the problem.

however, if i go to overtake someone, the warning light comes on, i feel a sudden loss of power, and then it crawls to a stop, with the engine cutting out as it slows to around 20mph, so just coasting the last part. stopping and restarting resolves the problem, but as this normally happens on a dual carriage way, i cannot increase speed to get back on the carriage way easily without the same problem occuring.... Just to keep people updated.....fuel pump replaced...EGR blocked off....excellent MPG....but now black smoke, and failed injector!

given up, car is destined for the scrap heap...once i have had a long chat to Ford as they appear to have known about this fault on the 03 model, but did not recall it....

I would be grateful for any advice you could give. I have appealed a traffic offence i incurred in Sardinia in 2010 after driving in a ZTL zone (unwittingly).

Following my appeal it now appears that i have been asked to appear before a judge in Sardinia in June. This summons was written in Italian. ... Read more

Hello.

Does anyone have any info on running VW's PDI diesels on diesl found outside Europe? Word is that the diesel fuel sold out here is not of the same quality. HELP! Read more

unthrottled

Diesel outside Europe has (or had) a very high sulphur content. Sulphurous fuels produce a lot of soot and ash. Since you don't have a DPF, sulphur content isn't a huge problem. You might find the inlet manifold, turbo vanes, and EGR valve are quite heavily coked though.
