Sometimes the car starts fine but just dosn't have any power. It will accelerate slowly if on the flat but will not go above 30 mph if going uphill. Next time out it is fine again. The car was serviced in July and has done 2000 miles since.

I have had problems with my park assist, it never worked when i got the car ( 3.3 Grand Voyager RHD )
Now i have also noticed my reverse lights do not work either. So i have put two and two together...
I checked the bulbs, and they work fine, i have checked and swapped the relay and that works fine.
I have checked the park/stop fuses and they work fine. Now i'm stuck....
Mine is a 2004 limited XS. I beleive the park assist is factory, but it does not have the park assist module in the left rear quarter, like a 2005 does. So can anyone help me please?
Is there another fuse box? or is there another fuse junction on the way to the back of the car?
Any help would be appreciated...

Long ago it used to be that after your first claim-free year your premium reduced by x%, then after the second by a further y% until some maximum % was reached - say 60%. Given that car insurance pricing is much more sophisticated these days... how do things work now? My guess is that claim history is just one thing that goes into the algorithm and that any adjustments in respect of claims are much more finely graduated.
And what happens in the event of a claim? Does the insurer put you back at square one, or do they recognise one's previously good claims record? (In my case only one over 20 years ago when the car was broken into.)... Read more
mafia-esque as in, with a peculiarly British old school tie and funny handshake slant?
Surely you would never dare to suggest that our country operates that way....
Talking to my friendly local indy garage this morning, and he has been on a course abour emissions and dpf in particular, and says that some cities are planning to ban diesels altogether because the particles that are released after "burning" are even moe toxic and finer than previously thought,
By the way one middle eastern country has banned the use of diesel engines in passenger cars and taxis... Read more
Ive already agreed we should ban all buses from cities. They are the most polluting things on the road and have escaped the pathetic restrictions put on cars for too long.
Pollution is a byproduct of life, deal with it. Yes we could shut everything down tomorrow but then we'd have no movement, no economy and no life so thats hardly productive. Nations like Greece who come up with communistical hairbrained schemes like the one mentioned above deserve to go bankrupt. 'Oh no a car might drive past us, quick lets ban it! Then we'll be safe!!!!'...

At least one million motorists could be forced to buy premium fuel from next year – paying an average 8p per litre more at the pumps – as the Government prepares to increase biofuel content in regular unleaded. ... Read more
Article is mis-informed on one point. Ethanol is a cheap way of increasing the octane rating, so it is likely that 'Super' unleaded will be E10 as well.
There is a lot of hype about the problems, although they are still there. Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs are working on tests of additives to address some issues and have written sensible - not exagerated, stuff in their newletters (including the latest).

Just for info: VAG Fuel Additive part no. G00170003 has been superceded by part no. G001770A2. It comes in a 90 ml can with spout and treats 45-75 Litres, Costs about £6 a can.
...Also there is another I have found on the web but my local dealer is unable to find it on their database. It is part no. ZVW239003 - 192ml bottle, "Continuous-use formula for Prevention of Carbon Deposit Accumulation".... Read more
Well this is the question: The VAG additive along with Millers, seem to be the only ones I have ever seen recomended.
I can see why folk are suspicious though but for VAG to have their own leads me to belive that they see a need for it....
