Hi All.

I have just bought another Fiat Punto!..it seems fine apart from the interior fan. It works and the fan speed changes when the dial is turned but there is very little flow from the vents at any speed.... Read more

Time heals, the annoying Nissan Cashcow ad has gone. I was miffed at getting about 12 popups from RSPB (the ones who won't admit that magpies and birds of prey eat songbird). But I read it and filled in a data form and today....................it arrived. A CD of 30 'Sounds of Garden Birds', including my favourites:- Wren (such a beautiful song from one so wee) and Song Thrush. Popped it in the car CD player today, selected 'random'. Marvellous. The covering letter had much propoganda though, the success of the reintroduced Red Kite, a hell of a bird. Big and beautiful. But apparently they live on "carrion and worms". Yeah right. Read more

Red Kite? You mean that massive bird with two metre wings which can eat a sheep or the odd Alligator if given the chance? That red kite?

Im sorry i need to get this one off my chest. Has anybody seen the depressing news story about two old fat people in Scotland who won the record breaking Euro Millions thing? And the bloke says they wont change cars and they wont move house and dont really know what they're going to do with the money. Im sorry but these people should be banned from buying tickets.

Anybody who wins the lottery and goes "oh i think we'll just put it in a safe place" and "oh i think i'll still go to work" and "no i couldnt move elsewhere this place is too nice" should be forced to give it back. Old people, accountants etc, boring people, people who own their dream homes, have a yacht, second home in Portugal etc should not be allowed to buy a ticket, only people who admit it'll change their lives should be allowed to win it. People who are now so middle aged they've not got much use for any money should be made to give it back. It angers me when they go "oh i'll just put it in a savings account for the grandchildren" f*** OFF!!! Grandchildren didnt win it did they? Go Nuts! Buy a speedboat! Buy a small island! Have a 50 bedroomed mansion with playboy girls in every room and 80 inch 3D TV beside the swimming pool or something! So many lottery winners are so BORING!!... Read more

I have come across a 1980s Jaguar XJS for sale which has been converted to LPG. I'm intrigued by the car and I'd like to go and look at it.

Does anyone have LPG? It wouldn't be a problem round my way with filling it up; there's several stations with it. ... Read more

Foolproof, lay the old 8'x4" top down on the back of the new (bigger) offcut. Carefully draw a line around. Special care for the cutty-off-bit for the door frame at one end of the 8' and the slight oval out of the middle of the other (for the khazi) and we're done. But the result is a bit too wide and a tad too long and isn't flat to the floor. S'pose the straight edge of the template might have been up against a none-straight edge of offcut. Anyone out there know what they're doing. Rest of famile highly amused, causing loss of sense of humour at my end. B***dy,DIY, etc. Read more

The professionals ability and knack to stretch it over the edge of the grippers leaving it dead straight and flat in line with the wall is very good and worth paying for. Proper carpet fitter wont cost a fortune, albiet the one i had was a completely useless pleb and had to get someone else to do the job properly. They dont mind doing it with your own carpet either. Another good tip is if you're using cheap thin carpet then make sure you use nice thick premium underlay, cheap carpet + cheap underlay = carpet refit in 12 months time.

I am getting a orange exclamation mark warning light coming on as I'm driving along, I turn the engine off and it goes off and stays off, it then reappears randomly. I think it may having something to do with the gear box, on starting the car from cold, it seems to get stuck in 2nd and I have to excelerate harder to get it to change down. When the light is off it drives fine. Read more
