Nortonsetup79

Norton is an antivirus product that protects your laptop, Computer, and tablet, etc from viruses. It provides security from the threats and problems that might affect the system of the user through the internet or any other folder or file that might contain the viruses so you don't have to worry just install the file and remove viruses.

Norton was free for 12 months when I bought a laptop some years ago. After 12 months I paid to renew it and what a waste of money. The laptop became infected by a worm that continually rebooted it, initially drove me to distraction but there was a solution on the internet to stop it loading on bootup and then get your virus software to remove it. Problem was Norton knew nothing about this worm. Eventually used a free tool from Sophos to do the deed.

So on renewal said goodbye to Norton and tried to say hello to Sophos but they did not sell to personal users....

Re: Scar Wash - some fat, lazy person has obviously rubbed HJ up the wrong way, but seriously, I wouldn't even use a jet wash, especially around any seals and brakes - there's far too much pressure, just a hose and standard car wash soapy water, or the stuff they give you if you've had a ceramic coating. Also, if you clean the car yourself, you're more likely to spot any bits falling off. Read more

A retired Rozzer told me the Met spent a month watching one hand car wash place, logging every car that went in for a wash.

This "car wash" was supposedly turning over a million per year; they logged the same (non taxi) cars going in for a wash 2-3 times per day during the quite periods....

The answer has been staring governments in the face for decades.
Abolish VED and put the tax entirely on fuel, so that those who use the most pay the most.
Anyone can take a chance and avoid paying VED, but everyone has to pay at the pump. Read more

you make a good point except that I think that of every £1.30 for a litre they are already taking 50% tax

Re "Too much information" I agree that it is probably an age related problem.
After over 50 years with dials, knobs and switches I do not find touch screens intuitive. Is it really necessary or safe to navigate an on screen menu when all you want to do is change the heater settings or the radio programme?
I also question the long term reliability of these devices. Read more

You may well want the satnav if you buy the car; so you try it out to make sure you dont need a degree in astro-biology to make it work.

Guys and gals, I get it. Some of you really love stance and some of you really hate it. This is an argument that will never go anywhere because it is purely subjective. Stance lovers will never convince a hater to love it, and a hater will never convince a lover to hate it.

So please, stop wasting your breath and clogging up threads with this senseless bickering. If you don't like stance, downvote and move on. We do not consider it a s***ty car mod here. You're welcome to your opinions, but for love of god knock off the bickering over it.... Read more

Well spotted Avant. I did mean segue!! I don't know wether it was I or the American spellcheck system which seems ubiquitous now. The number of texts I have read after sending and had to send a corrective message to follow. My excuse is I am from the steam age, but trying to master technology. Cheers Concrete

Hi. Hoping someone can figure out the cause of this brake judder.

So I changed the front pads only and immediately got judder. This judder is through the pedal and not the wheel and can also be felt though the handbrake. To describe the judder, it's at all speeds and is quite severe. The brakes also seem to lock a bit under heavy(ish) force. Also, the pedal does not feel spongy and is not sinking to floor under pressure so I dont think it's the master. ... Read more

Well its now sorted. The problem was one of the rear disks was ruined. Just the back side of it tho so didn't notice. No idea how just doing the front caused the judder but it's now fixed and I'm happy. f*** knows how it passed the last MOT though. I guess they didn't look.

Thanks for all your replies. Much appreciated....

Another load of PR bull**** from VAG. This car so far only exists as a concept, so no guarantee that it will end up in production with all those bells and whistles they are talking about.

Also four seats in estate? What planet are they on? Fifth seat as an option? VAG is a joke. Read more

Went to look at it on the VW site and just got a message "get a decent browser"! Well thank you for that tip.

My attention was drawn to this from a sales e-mail from a dealer link to the validity of what is being stated below, I have not seen it mentioned on this site, or anywhere else.

From 1 January any new car sold which exceeds the limit of 95g Co2/KM will have a premium of €95 per gramme above the 95g limit, but there are plenty of caveats and workarounds which is maybe why the headline figures aren't as potentially expensive as they first appear.... Read more

Still too expensive to make it financially feasible for me.

Even when I get over the huge prices involved, and the realisation of having to opt for the more expensive trim level for the faster charging, and stomaching the fact that tax-payers are contributing towards greedy manufacturers' profits via the £3500 government grant (and some of those tax-payers don't even drive), all the stats for this car, as with the more expensive Mii and UP, such as performance and range seem rather unremarkable.

So I'll be keeping my ICE car for a long time yet - and maybe use my bicycle now and then to do my bit for the planet. Read more

Isn't that top speed a bit too close to the current national limit?

Just thinking that it wasn't too long ago there were proposals to increase the national speed limit to 80mph...….and not every manufactured car is 100% identical - some will be faster, but some slower....
