I bought a 2009 galaxy recently and had the garage replace the car battery.
Since then the radio refuses to work?
I have found what appears to be the seriel number which is
V041637
If this is correct can anyone say what the code is and how exactly do I enter it in the 6000cd player standard to the year.
You can guess , the car didn’t come with it’s audio booklet nor a code etc!

Many thanks in advance!

I had the same problem with stanstead. In the end I used a park on someone's drive website. It was about half the airport price. It was 8 mins bike ride or 30 mind walk from the air port. Car was fine.

There is no need to do this;I have over the last 2 years been visiting people in hospitals and all the staff say there is massive waste which no one is dealing with,to many fat cat managers, but why dont they do what has been promised for many years, get rid of the quangos, there just jobs for the boys it costs about 50 billion to run these things if you cut half there you are,25 billion but dont hold your breath its easier to tax the working man. In the States, Audi are recalling numerous models for a faulty waterpump. Will the same, my late 17 a4 included, happen here. www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/audi-recall-a4-a5-a6-q5.../ Ken Johnston Read more

i don't expect it will,Audi will spend years saying it must be the drivers
fault for using the excellerator pedal causing an excess of water to go
thro' the waterpump an weaken the seals in all cases, even if a4,a5,a6
and q5 have differant makes of pump.

Hi all, new to the forum so apologies if this one is covered in a separate thread please feel free to redirect me

I have a 2017 (67 plate) GTE and 4 times in the past month the car horn sounds constantly for over 10 seconds, pauses for a second or two then sounds again constantly when I unlock the car, open the door and/or start the ignition, stop the car, and lock it. Once it starts, it goes off even when the car is locked. It's random, intermittent and of course very annoying...especially to my poor neighbours!

Dealership have tried so far 3 times to identify the fault but can't reproduce it. I have video footage of it happening that I've shared with them and it's with them now but they don't seem to have any idea what the cause might be.

A recent VW tech inspection found a fault that they fixed through their diagnostic systems
Name: HYBRID BATTERY CONTROL
DTC: P0E5E00, Battery charger, internal fault
System Type: -SYSTEM TYPE:47-

Next time they thought it was the horn relay switch so replaced that but next day, the horn sounded again when car was unlocked.

I charge the car every other day mainly using the standard UK 3 pin home charger plug but have also used the rapid chargers at work. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to the issue other than it happens in th emorning, but that;s when I typically first use the car each day to go to work. When it happens the only way to stop it is to remove F15 fuse to disable the car horn.

Anyone else had a similar problem? If so do you have any idea what the cause is?
Thanks Read more

If they cannot fix it, reject the car.

We recently purchased an smax and I have an issue with its steering and this may just be how they are but I wanted to see what people thought about it

I will try to explain it as best I can...

If you drive the car relatively normally and not aggressively everything seems fine but When you get more aggressive and heavy footed the steering feels slightly unpredictable. Especially when pulling away quickly. The steering seems goto one side but it doesn’t goto one side in particular it kind of wobbles. It does seems to be dependent on the road sometimes but not always.

Does this sound familiar to anyone. I’m not sure if there’s a problem or not, I think the tyres on the font do need balancing but I’m not convinced that is the reason. Maybe they are just crap cars..

I would appreciate people’s thoughts

Cheers

Hi

Thanks for your reply.

I haven’t checked the type pressures. The tyres do look good I think they were either new or nearly new when we got it but I don’t think they were balanced as I do get bit of a wobble at around 50 or 60 mph.

I’ll check the pressures tomorrow.

Last night while driving my low oil level light came on, i parked up and sat for 10 minutes to try and allow the engine to cool a bit before checking the levels.

I tried checking but was getting uncertain readings... dark/rain lashing down and engine most likely still too hot as i had been driving a few hours.... Read more

If the car has a low oil level warning light and it has done its job and warned you there is no issue other than that of determining if there is an oil leak somewhere.

I received a parking ticket and used a company called Private parking appeals. They sorted the situation out for me without me having to pay the ticket.

As its DRP it will be a private speculative invoice. Calling them wasn't a good idea, but too late now.

Now I 'm guessing that some here wouldn't take up this offer even if they paid you, but it may be of interest to others.

to be fair, there was a mot centre in South Wales,
which actually did "free" mots.
if the car failed, there was no charge for the mot test
and you were free to do the work yourself, or take it elsewhere.
They only charged , les than the going rate, when it passed.

The ticket cost from Gatwick to Liverpool was paid because they had to whereas your taxi costs are not covered in the directive so they will not be paid.
