Hi

Just a quick question regarding termination of pcp. As I understand you have the right to do this after 50% of the Total Amount Payable has been paid off the vehicle.... Read more

People like that either sink or swim, but can be heading to a miserable existence in retirement.

In 10 years time they will probably be looking at how they can retire early then wondering why they have no money to do so!

I have some neighbours who are struggling financially..

They were given (it turns out) loaned an Audi a4 estate about 15 months ago after their previous car had dpf/oil pump/clutch probems and they live on a very very tight budget. One neighbour let them use his car for a while, but now they need basic transport.... Read more

I'm a bit late to this party (story of my life!) but a big round of applause for ORB for this.

I've had my back against the wall a couple of times so I know what it's like....

Jacked up my 307 yesterday, and the OSR sill collapsed.... now has a hole in it from the rear wheel arch to the B pillar - and the NS isn't much better on close inspection. Ooops...

As long as I check the sill drains so it doesn't rot away.....

Now is the time to do the rustproofing while it is brand new and before any rust starts.

I've had no issues with my Galaxy and then when pulling away the car completely cut out. I called the RAC who could not find any faults and said they beleived the problem was fuel related. They sprayed it with easy start and the car started. I took the car to my local garage who could not find a problem with it when they put it on the diagnostic machine. Since then it has happened a further 4 times whilst driving (once whilst turning right across a main road) and I'm no further forward with locating the issue. I have taken my car to another garage now who think the fuel pump may need replacing. Has anyone had a similar issue and does this diagnostic seem correct as I don't want to just change parts for the sake of it? Any help would be massively appreciated. Read more

Hi,

I bought a second hand 2009 Corsa D (68K miles) a few weeks ago, it drove perfectly for the first couple of weeks and this week it gradually started to stutter/judder under load/acceleration, usually at relatively low revs when accelerating in 2nd/3rd/4th it will either stutter while accelerating or not accelerate at all, needing a shift down to make progress. This happened very intermittently at first but over 3 or 4 days it has gradually got to the point where it is happening continually from a few minutes into the drive. It seems to idle OK when first turned on but after driving and experiening the problem the idle is then also bad after stopping:... Read more

Hi, I'm looking for somewhere who can provide an Alloy Wheel Paint Matching service preferably in the West Midlands area (possibly using a Spectrophotometer) as I have a set of Alloys that were previously refurbed (repainted) and that now need some "touching up" work done to them ... Any ideas or recommendations please ? Read more

Just for the record, after sending out some enquiries to local Garages, I was advised to go to the "Prestige Wheel Centre" (B24 9PS) and yes, having now seen the quality of their work, I would also recommend them for Alloy Wheel Refurbishment !

I want to tax a van without mot ,I have insurance but it' a project and it' outside my house on the road ,I did it last year but I can' seem to tax it online? It won' let me do it ? Read more

To even park it on the road, as a "project", it needs to be MoT's, taxed and insured.

If it can't yet pass an MoT, it needs to be off the road.

I'm sorry nobody else has answered this yet: it could be because it's not very clear what your rationale is. Why a petrol Yaris yet a diesel Hyundai? (I know there isn't a diesel Jazz.)

You need to avoid anything with a semi-automatic gearbox, which at one time both the Jazz and the Yaris had, although more recently the Jazz has had a CVT....
