Hi, my rear engine mount was replaced about 6 months ago and has gone again :-( I took it back to the garage and he said it must be a different engine as (whichever way round it was, I can't remember) one part had two holes and the other had three. Now the engine is the original but it's obvious one part of the mount isn't. I've asked my local Peugeot garage which won't know until I've paid £76+vat and let them have a look :-( My car is a 05 reg, 2.0ltr 138bhp. Does anyone have any idea what part would be the original? Hello Chaps,
Following a 12 mile run and then a subsequent 2 hour stop in a hospital car park, the car would not start. The dash lights all came on but on pushing the start button, the engine failed to turn over. The computer then displayed "Immobiliser malfunction. Service required. "
Ford sent out the cavalry ( The AA in this case). On their arrival, to my embarrasment the car started immediatley. The AA man said that sometimes the key signal can be affected by Overhead Power lines !!!!!!
I would be grateful for your own expert opinion please.
Incidentally, this is my second Kuga and I like everything about the car..................until today's event.
Yours sincerely,
Billy. Read more
External radio frequencies can affect the operation of the remote locking system. Can't see it causing a fault with the immobiliser.I would get the system checked by the dealer.
My sons car driver side window is stuck in the UP position. On closer inspection it has wedged wrong side of a rubber seal instead of going in between the 2 rubber seals . The motor works fine but probably due to having no window in it one of the aluminium joints in the zig zag bracket has buckled , though i should be able to straighten it out. Assuming we can unwedge the window it doesnt look too straightforward to re-attach it so any clues would be helpful. We have some pictures and can take more, if an eamil address is provided. many thanks for reading, regards, Brian Hammonds. Read more

I Have a 2005 Nissan Navara D22. The timing chain has just broken and the vehicle is currently in the garage. The garage want £1000 to fit a new timing chain to turn the engine over and find out whether there has been any engine damage. Is this a good investment of my £1000, what is the likelihood of there being engine damage? Read more
I rather like the judge's turn of phrase: "As plain as a pikestaff" :-)
I'm guessing the amount of foreign registered HGVs on the road has also increased over the period they're quoting due to the booming economy and also more companies using foreign haulage companies to reduce costs

Hi,
Am in the process of upgrading my verso to a 2005 model, the only problem is I noticed on the mot certificate there was an advisory saying "blue smoke from exhaust on hard acceleration".I asked the dealer about it and he said the "cat converter" was on its way out and was therefore willing to knock £250 off the price;I also learnt from the dealer most corolla verso's use a bit of oil.
Clearly this car has some issues, what I need to know is will they be quite expensive to fix.?
Thanx Read more
Agreed with previous posts. Only purchase this car if it is so cheap that you can afford to scrap it when anything goes wrong.
Having found 13 reg 320d M Sport Tourer that fits my spec and budget I've verbally agreed a 'price to change' with a dealer after 'agreeing' a fair trade in price on my current car. I've paid a £500 refundable deposit to hold the car which I will view at the weekend. I'm now regretting saying I was happy with the 'price to change' as I've only haggled on the trade in price not the remaining asking price of the new car.
Any advice how to get a better deal when I view the car would be greatly appreciated.... Read more
>>He reeled me in by offering £500 over webuyanycar.com's valuation of my current car
Is this what he told you, or the figure you've checked with webuyanycar.com's website?
The Peugeot dealer has just rang me. He says my car is between the mark 1 and the mark 2 change over. In other words it's a mark 2 with left overs from the mark 1 that they needed to get rid off :-( when my husband said it is a Peugeot fault with it then, he was quick to deny.
