Peugeot 307 CC - Rear engine mount - haylee202
Hi, my rear engine mount was replaced about 6 months ago and has gone again :-( I took it back to the garage and he said it must be a different engine as (whichever way round it was, I can't remember) one part had two holes and the other had three. Now the engine is the original but it's obvious one part of the mount isn't. I've asked my local Peugeot garage which won't know until I've paid £76+vat and let them have a look :-( My car is a 05 reg, 2.0ltr 138bhp. Does anyone have any idea what part would be the original?

If you can tell me the last eight digits of your VIN I can provide that for you. There are some variations in models, but they should look like items 7 and 15 in this diagram:

There should be three mounts - one on the left as you look at the engine, one under the battery try and one underneath which runs through a driveshaft.

The latter is quite a swine to replace so most 307 owners usually go for a Powerflex bush instead (me included). For more details, go to peugeotforums.com and type POWERFLEX in the search box.

Hi and thanks for the reply. I know now that it's number 17 I need, it seems the other two holes are filled with crap and will need digging out. Another little "can only buy from Peugeot" bargain :-(

Part number is 1807 W5. RRP £78 from the dealers.

I'd probably go to the scrap yard and pick up a second hand one, or shop around. I replaced mount 7 on my 307 and got it from Germany about £20 cheaper than Peugeot.

But it seems odd that yours failed so quickly, unless it was completely the wrong part and couldn't do the job?

I need 1807 W1, the part that is one my car is totally the wrong piece. The engine has been checked that it is the original so now the garage think that maybe the drive shaft was replaced with a second hand one which may of had the mount already on it? I have no idea lol. I've spoke to Peugeot who have said its £153.60 for the part, £180 to fit the part and £112.75 and hour to locate and remove the sheared off bolts!! I think I'm in the wrong business lol x

Omg sorry!! I think I clicked the wrong button!! The one you have sent me is the one Peugeot sent me, but is the wrong one. On their diagrams it's a four screw one with that same part number. They're not sure if it was packaged wrong or they just don't make them anymore!!! When I asked what I was want to do he replied "I don't know what to suggest"!!!!! WTF!!!!

The Peugeot dealer has just rang me. He says my car is between the mark 1 and the mark 2 change over. In other words it's a mark 2 with left overs from the mark 1 that they needed to get rid off :-( when my husband said it is a Peugeot fault with it then, he was quick to deny.
