Hello,

I have been having problems with the DPF clogging up and alarming and have started to use wyns diesel particulate filter cleaner , adding it every month. This seems to be working really well as I have had no more alarms but this treatment is not recognised by Jaguar and I am worried that I may invalidate my warranty.

Any advice welcome Read more

I put in a squirt of Millers Diesel Power Ecomax (trips off the tongue!) additive every 2nd or 3rd tank and make sure that fill it up to the neck to wash it all into the tank. It doesn't actually fill and stay full at the neck it flows back quite a bit.

Previous post was probably wrong, thought it was bearing in gearbox. Audi now say it is wheel bearing in passenger front wheel and the driver side is going slightly at the moment. initially were totally unsure but then put screwdriver to the wheel and said they thought it might be the wheel bearing.

Had the car from new (2011), and has done 34,500 miles. ... Read more

Really only 2 options here.Either get a genuine Vauxhall remote key complete with blade and have it cut and programmed to the car or alternatively there are lots of cheap keyless entry kits available that can be wired into the existing system that are supplied with 2 new remote fobs. You will probably need the services of an auto sparks/alarm fitter for this.

The pas on these is electric/hydraulic,so there is fluid in the system.Really can't see how the chip in the key affects the steering. If there was a problem here, the car would not start. The pas on these is voltage sensitive,so I would suggest that you get the charging, alternator and battery systems checked.

Hello learned people.

I was hoping somebody could help me ID what model of car this brake light is from?

Look at the lense very carfully for the partnumber and the date marking.

Enter the number into ggogle and search for which car it came from. I did this with a part left on the road after an accident and it turned out to be off a Merc who provided the model, year and colour. The car turned out to be local and made the mistake of the repairer ordering the part from the local Merc dealer....

When I'm accelerating through the gears the car feels hesitant and judders/struggles a bit, like there's a flat spot or some loss of power. It happens in 2nd and 3rd at around 2000rpm, speeds between 20-30mph. The speedo and tacho needles tend to dip when it occurs as well. It's fine in 1st gear and clears above 30mph and in higher gears. I'm not 100% but my impression is that it only starts happening after the car's warmed up, and not when it's cold just after starting. Could it be something with the fuel mix that gets hidden by the auto choke? i have changed plugs, oil and air filter but that didnt fix the problem. help please!!?

thanks in advance Read more
