I received a letter and a phone call from a toyota dealer demanding me to take the car for them to check the car along with the annual service.
I told them that the car is not due to service until August. However, the dealer uses very demanding and authority words to get me to book the car in for them service and perform safety checks.... Read more
Hello dear friends, right. I have bit of dilemma. I proudly own s60 t5, which is in good shape. I was thinking of selling it for more economical car I.e. Honda civic. My budget is around 2.5k (I know, times are difficult). Volvo runs great, so comfy but thirsty for a 20mile daily commute.I had all the service done on Volvo but it looks like some suspension issues are creeping out. So my question is, is it better to sell or hold on and fix what's needed? Volvo does about 24mpg on my commute. I know I won't buy a lot for this sort of money. Any advice appreciated. Thanks Read more
Guys, thanks for fantastic replies. Yes it looks like drop links and top strut mounts need replacing, everything else is spot on. It has only got about 90k on the clock. We go on the continent 2-3 times a year and it does great job. Thanks for convincing me, if something will break you will get the blame. All the best

Hello
I have selector trouble with my 1995 Golf TDI. I have had the problem diagnosed and been told to buy a gear shift kit and they would fit it.... Read more
Right, it is cable.
That means no kit available....
I see Michelin has bought Blackcircles tyres for £50m, making 25% shareholder and ex-Tesco boss, Terry Leahy, a few more millions, as well as the founder, Mike Welch, who apparently left school at 16. Good effort!
But will we get independent advice from them any more? Read more
I'm now starting to understand why Blackcircles are being so difficult regarding my Goodyear warranty claim - now that they are owned by Michelin they have no interest in making Goodyear look good! Bought 2 Goodyears last summer and one has had slow puncture from new. When I took it back to fitter they found pinhole leak in inner wall and reported "Since the pressure loss has been present since the fitment of the tyre and there is no evidence of damage this defect would likely have been created during the manufacturing process."
BC insisted I buy another tyre so they could investigate. They reject the report of their own fitter, they tell me it will take 12 weeks to "process the claim" despite the BTMA guidance that states 15 working days. Avoid...
Hi there
Are there any major differences between these two cars. I have had a look at both of them and they (from the outside anyway) look very similar. What one would you say has the biggest boot size? Read more
Not looked at the C4 but we have looked at the 308 in both hatch and estate versions.
The 308 hatch has a boot that is almost as big as a Focus estate, the estate is cavernous....

Friend has lost the keys to the 306lxd and have replacement ready to fit. I presume the steering wheel has to be removed first to access it,the covers are already off. Could someone run me through removing the s/wheel -without setting the airbag off?- and removing the barrell please. Read more
You could have a problem here. The ignition barrel slides into a housing on the steering column. If you have no key to the old barrel, then it can't be turned into the removal position so that the spring loaded locking pin can be depressed. There may also be a tiny torx screw that holds it in place. There is no need to remove the airbag or steering wheel if the job is done in the correct method. However ,as you have no key, then you may need to drill out the old lock, and would suggest that these items are removed, after disconnecting the battery. Also have you thought about any immobiliser issues?I would think this car has a chipped key?

If mileage anomolies can be proven with documented evidence that can be verified, HPI will often remove incorrect records. They would need to be contacted and same applied to Experian and CDL also.
I would check it yourself using the Toyota recall checker.
