New Peugeot 308 versus Citroen C4

New Peugeot 308 versus Citroen C4 - Glasgow26

Hi there

Are there any major differences between these two cars. I have had a look at both of them and they (from the outside anyway) look very similar. What one would you say has the biggest boot size?

Not looked at the C4 but we have looked at the 308 in both hatch and estate versions.

The 308 hatch has a boot that is almost as big as a Focus estate, the estate is cavernous.

But both have very poor rear seat legroom. With the drivers seat in the normal position for a 5' 9" person (me) I could not sit comfortably behind. My knees were touching the seat back and on anything but a local trip it was totally unacceptable.

As a comparrison I can sit quite comfortably in the rear of our 2007 Nissan Micra.

At the end of the day space is a compromise but for us Peugeot have got it wrong. Maybe Citroen have done it better.

But if you want a big boot and rear seat space is not an issue check out the 308.
