Hi, new to this forum but been lurking for a while.
Wife has a 118d and it constantly thinks the drivers door is open so we can't lock it. We have replaced the door latch mechanism but it's made no difference. Anybody on here got any ideas?

Hello, I have a dodge nitro 2.8 crd diesel 57plate, I cannot get it to start, it is turning over but not firing. With ignition on the electronic throttle positron fault light stays on
I have taken the inlet manifold off - when ignition is on, throttle body is constantly buzzing/fluttering and the cogs are trying to move almost like it's jammed. I have taken it off and taken the crimped cover off to reveal cogs no visual damage as such, plugged it in and cogs trying to move almost like it's unsettled and trying to get into position.
I'm sure this behaviour is not normal, could this cause the electronic throttle light to stay on? And, cause problems elsewhere causing a non runner?

You said in your first post that you had throttle position fault. Diesel engines do not have a throttle valve in the air intake like petrol engines do. They do often have an anti-shudder valve which does resemble a throttle valve. This could be stuck closed and preventing the engine from drawing air. Make sure air is being drawn and that the MAF sensor is reading it. The engine will not run if it's drawing its exhaust gasses back. Diesel engine speed is controlled by metering the fuel, not by allowing more or less intake air.

Hi there when my car is idle iv got a slight judder and when I try to get my revs upto say 1500 and try to hold it there the revs go down but my foot hasnt moved also when I put my air con its even worse my fan comes on and when I rev upto 1500 the fan goes off but my revs drop up and down...

Hi all. Got a question 1.6 ghia on 95k on a 51 plate. Back in Feb I had the speed sensor replaced as the speedo was very erratic.

new problem just got it on my MFD / display that show milege fuel distance and gps/
the display some part is lined if i can say this so cannot see the letters or numbers,most part is ok but every time is different
sometimes i can see quite good but always have some lines across the display
is there any way to fix this or buy the display itself ?/ i think that cost a lot/

i not really use the sat nav anyway but the rest of the info for trip could be usefull also not look really nice as the display always missing some lines...
hi, I have a renault megane II 2008 sedan that was given to me by my brother. When i got the car he told me that the instrument does not work and the start does not start. since i am a bit technical i started troubleshooting the vehicle. the cluster is still not displaying, the watch was not displaying but now does after i have removed engine fusebox, ecu, bsi under dash, and made sure that all fuses are not blown and also relays are still ok. what i have realized is the card reader & start button does not have power when i use my test light. the car does not start & the warning light on the instrument panel flashes all the time. sometimes the windows works somtimes they don't. the card locks some doors not all. your help will be highly appreciated.... Non starting with a flashing light usually indicates an immobiliser problem.
My central locking today failed even though the key fob was still operating the alarm,sliding doors and disarming the manual boot.
I searched google and eventually found a post here from five years ago, though couldn't find it once logged into site lol.
Bottom line is the advice given was to remove the IOD 20a fuse from main fuse board five secs and replace.
Turn ignition key on wait for indicators to flash twice.
Hey presto my failed central locking now works.
