For all of the changes I have done on my previous, and daughters' cars I have used "Partco" discs and pads from a local motor factors (where the staff leave dirty thumb prints on the receipts) and failed to notice any difference from the oem ones that they replaced. They fitted as well as the oem version, were marginally cheaper and could be bought on a Sunday morning.

I have Cat D1 on my licence which entitles me to drive a mini bus. I do this at the moment, and it is a 15 seater. These are under "grandfathers" rights as I got my licence before the new regulations.
I am a bit confused. I just want to drive a 9 seat mini bus for hire and reward. According to what I've read, I need to undertake a PCV qualification along with CPC. Why? I have the experience of driving on my current licence without charging, but wanting to charge I seem to need a PCV/CPC.... Read more
Thanks for the link Auristocrat. I completed the questions. Looks like I just need a D1 test and medical. So I presume I don't need a PCV after all. I've requested the D2 pack so I'll find out when the paperwork comes.

Hi I have recently found that the rear. Centre brake light,the heated rear windscreen and the boot release catch which is pressed from the dashboard have all stopped working.
Upon inspection after opening the tailgate I discovered the wiring loom had some broken wires,my question is it an easy job to cut back the exposed wires and join up again also will I have to disconnect the battery before tackling the job.

Many thanks for your advice once removed the rubber trunking there were three wires split bit too tight to pull wires together so used three way connector replaced everything tried boot release switch in car works perfectly also rear centre brakelight and I assume the third wire was the rear window heated screen,can't check this till winter comes fingers crossed it melts the ice,once again thanks for the advice.
I believe this is a common problem on focus estates of a certain age so hope this post helps others out cheers.

Hi, i had the same problem today with my audi a5 3.0 tdi (2008)... The engine light came on as i was driving but i had no loss in performance...when i got home i called the AA... It took him ten minutes to pull out the egr valve...another 15 min to clean all the soot off it..and once he put it back in the light went off...he said the valve will need replacing as the spring action was weak...
The valve costs about £150 new and after seeing the AA guy at work i cant imagine costing much to have it fitted... You could probably fit it yourself as he litterally took off tge engine cover and unscrewed 3 screws......

I had a 306, sold it a couple of years ago with all the paperwork etc, had put an MP3 head unit it and sold it with that. Anyway, I'll cut to the chase, I've got the original Clarion PU-2294A head unit and these seem to still be sought after on a well known auction site, so not having the paperwork for the car, and hence no radio code details I used various calculators and they all gave me the same code, but the stereo tells me it is incorrect.... There are plenty of places online where you can get the code. I'm sure there's a member of Peugeotforums.com who can get your code from the serial.
Or type "Peugeot Clarion code" into Ebay, there's a few traders who do it from 99p....
