I have had this car from new direct from Mazda, it has been serviced by Maxda and has 64,000 on the clock, the last service carried out by MAZDA was in Dec 2013. 2 weeks ago the car lost power and we stopped immediately but black smoke came out of the exhaust pipe. We paid for additional 1 year Mazda roadside assistance and I had the car towed to the mazda dealership in Coventry. They have since stripped the engine and over numerous question and answer sessions, they have explained the problem and a full report has been sent to Mazda UK last Thursday 27/2/14, after two weeks of invetsigation. The problem being carbon in the oil sump, blocked strainer, blown turbo charger, replacement ERC valve, scored camshaft, the list goes on.
The car has 64,000 ( low mileage for a diesal) on the clock and the DPF filter has regenerated 3 times during the period from April 2010 to Feb 2014.... Read more
I have a 2005 mondeo TDCi 130bhp. The dmf is worn, you can hear it and feel it through the clutch pedal and the idle is rough. I know if I want to keep the car I'll have to get the clutch and dmf replaced. 3 times in the last month whilst under acceleration the car has gone into limp mode (glow pug light flashing and no turbo boost.) If I restart the car everything is fine again. Could this be linked to dmf wear (possibly affecting the crank sensor) or could I have problems of another kind? If the latter (high pressure pump, injectors) I'll probably change the car.

My honest advice - get rid of it.
I replaced the injectors on mine only to have the DMF go a month later. The car is worth very little right now I am guessing, so I would part ex it and save yourself the aggravation....

I had discs and pads changed on all four wheels of my B class last week. From dropping the car off to them calling to say it was done was three hours and this included a wash and vac out.
They had to do some work on the wear depth indicator wires, but this was the only extra issue they had to sort out.
My AA renewal went from £172 to £185. I checked on line and a good enough equivalent from a well known company was £91. I contacted the AA and said I did not wish to renew as I'd found a better quote and I was annoyed at their soaring prices. The comeback was does £75 sound OK? What???? . Yes, that is correct.
My amended renewal notice has arrived along with the revised fee. Just awaiting to see if the direct debit is the same.... Read more
I got sick of the annual carry on with the AA - they'd up the price, I'd argue - they'd drop it again. A couple of years ago I changed to the RAC who have consistently kept the renewal price within a few pence of the previous year - in my view thats how to keep your customers.
Hi im after abit of help, Iv just done a engine swap both engines were running both came out of a 2004 both 130 tdc 2.0, now i cant get the engine to run iv tried bleeding the fuel still no joy, no fault codes and getting good fuel pressure on cranking but will not fire, are the fuel pumps connected to the immobiliser didnt no if this was the problem and it needed swapping from the original engine, i have swapped the injectors over so no need to recode them any help thanks Read more

Definitively won't have a code. I had one and can confirm the only anti theft protection is a removable face, no key code at all.

I viewed a C Max a while ago, I'm unsure of the exact specifications but it was a 2011, turbo diesel, 6 gears, good space in luggage/dog area :) pretty good on fuel and road tax was £30. Ice been trying to find a similar one on the internet but in black. The one I viewed had already been sold, it was priced at £10.600. Mileage was around 12.000. Good price? Read more
This will be fitted with the Ford/Peugeot tdci engine found in various makers models.Early variants from around 2005 -9 commonly suffered with very expensive turbo failures due to poor design and/ or maintenance.Good engine,I have not seen any later cars wth problems.The 2.0 diesel is also a Ford/Peugeot design.hth
