I've been trying to find a replacement wing mirror for my car since it was damaged by another vehicle a few weeks ago. Hyundai is asking £175, needless to say , unpainted. Does anyone know if it has to be a Hyundai one?

A few weeks ago a fault developed suddenly. I pressed the air recirculation button. About 16 loud clunks occur (about 1 per second) then stop. Same repeats each time car is started. Does not seem to affect heating or ventilation. Not sure about recirc, though.
Independent garage seems to know about this kind of fault ('likely motor, about £70') plus up to 7 hours removing and reinstalling the whole dash.... Read more

Millage now 91K, hand book says 150 K or 10 Years( a bit too long for me thinks), Heynes book says 150 K or halve this if start / stop use. Citroen Garage says should be done soon. My thinking is agree with Citroen Garage. Would be interested in knowing what other members opinions are or if any other 1.6Hdi 90 HP users have had their cam belts changed and at what millage.

Forget the recommended intervals. They only really apply when everything is new and clean. You have a clear choice here. Either get the cambelt changed and have piece of mind for a good couple of years, or leave it and spend every day wondering if it's going to fail any minute.They will easily do 150k they use lifetime belts what probable will not last is the ancillary equipment that it drives.

I've been offered a motorbike that i really like by someone i know. He's had it for as long as i can remember but has no log book for it. He said he bought it from a popular motorbike dealer (which i know to be true) but never registered the bike. It has been off the road for years now.
If i went ahead and bought this bike off him then would i be the legal owner given that he never registered it after he bought it from the dealer. Why not get your mate to apply for a new V5. If all goes well you are OK to buy it. If it doesn't he gets any fines. Suppose if he pays them you would be OK to buy it then.

I have a braking problem on the above. The car pulls to the right when using the foot brake and its slow to come to a halt. I give it to my friend to sort out who is an old school mechanic working from home. He has said that no brake fluid would come through and he has even tried using a compressor to force it through and it still would not come through. He has told me that he has traced it back to the ABS ...what ever that means and he is looking for a part in the local scap yards where we live in Merseyside as a new one is about £280 pound. Rob is old school and does not use the internet to look for parts.I am worried it will drag on and am wondering if I could find the part for him it might speed things up.Any ideas ?Thanks Mart.
