Citroen Picaso Xsara 1.6.HDi 90 HP (91k miles) - Cam belt renew - rustbucket

Millage now 91K, hand book says 150 K or 10 Years( a bit too long for me thinks), Heynes book says 150 K or halve this if start / stop use. Citroen Garage says should be done soon. My thinking is agree with Citroen Garage. Would be interested in knowing what other members opinions are or if any other 1.6Hdi 90 HP users have had their cam belts changed and at what millage.

Forget the recommended intervals. They only really apply when everything is new and clean. You have a clear choice here. Either get the cambelt changed and have piece of mind for a good couple of years, or leave it and spend every day wondering if it's going to fail any minute.

Forget the recommended intervals. They only really apply when everything is new and clean. You have a clear choice here. Either get the cambelt changed and have piece of mind for a good couple of years, or leave it and spend every day wondering if it's going to fail any minute.

They will easily do 150k they use lifetime belts what probable will not last is the ancillary equipment that it drives.
