I'm looking for a DIY paint 'guard' for a brand new car. Not prepared to spend the £300 quoted by the dealer, but the idea appeals.
Anyone have any experience of Professional Polish & Paint Sealant from Glare? Described as "Liquid glass - not wax, silicone, Teflon, polymer" but I don't know whether that's good or not! Read more

Sounds like a dual zone system in which case the most likely suspect is the servo motor on the drivers side temp control flap.

I've wondered for many years now how many innocent men are in jail because of false accusations of this sort??? There are other documented cases of men having their lives ruined by this sort of thing. Good to see it going the other way at last.
really-a bit of a general discussion re:tyre degradation

But if the car was kept in the garage, UV is a non issue. There's still the issue of oxidation i suppose.
Oxidation is the process - it is accelerated by UV, or sunlight as we usually call it. I have a 23-year-old car with a full set of tyres of the same age. They spent their early years in storage, and I understand have been 'show wheels' so are very little worn. In my ownership they have passed four MoTs without comment or advice from the tester, who I trust implicitly....

Breath Machine Wasn't Working! Refused A Urine Sample!! Will I Be Band???????
Hi well I was arrested by police that did not see me driving my vehicle but have 3 witness saying I did. I was not in possession of the keys on time of arrest. I failed to give a road side breath as I refused and said I wasn't not driving. Later at the station I agreed to a breath test on the machine but the machine was not working, so the officer then took me into a room with a doctor and said you are to give blood or urine sample so I said I will have a urine sample because I do not like needles as I suffer from anxiety of needles and it is on my medical records that I do and have been proscribed beater blocks for anxiety attacks in the past. The officer said I don't care I want you to take a blood test, I said no but I am more than willing to take a urines sample and I repeated this over 10 times to him and the doctor, the officer said so are ur refusing a blood test I said yes I am but I will take a urine sample once again and then he said no that's not a option, then I was charged with failing to provide and I am at court in 2 weeks, I have a solicitor and he told me that I will get off with the charge! I just want some more advice on this matter and if I will get off with it????
I would just like to add that I was not drinking but I was the night before but I believe that I did not have enough to put me over the limit but the witnesses said they smelt alcohol on my breath...
Thank you
