Hi all,
I'm going to change the fuel filter on my Son's Mazda 6. I've located it but is it self bleeding like most diesel cars now or do I have to prime it/ fill it with fuel prior to refitting?... Read more
Hi all,
Am looking at a 407 2.0 hdi facelift and am woundering did peugeot fix any of the failings of the older model such as ball joints, centre console display, dpf, tyre ppressure sensors etc. I had a 407 in 2005 and did love the car but was troublesome.... Read more
A simple thing, but it's driving me nuts. The front wipers of my car judder like mad across the screen and fail to clear the glass properly. Seems to be worse when there's fairly light rain so the entire screen isn't wet but rather there are spots of rain on it. Using screenwash lubricates the wiper and it stops vibrating, until the screenwash has worn off....
Tried changing the wiper blades to Bosch units but made no difference. Screen appears to be clean as there's no smearing or dirt visible. Any ideas?... Read more
I think TC means (could be wrong in which case sorry for poking me oar in TC..;) that over time your wipers may have developed a twist one way, and you are simply correcting that and putting them back to upright.
Linkage might also need a bit of lubrication and do check its securely fixed, assuming you can get to it, having helped my son replace a Toledo heater matrix (the job from hell, never again) i'm none too sure on access....

Oh! fond memories. Had the use of an IROC Z back in 1990 when I was in the States with my company for a while. The car looked so good and still does. The bare horsepower figures do not tell the whole story, this car felt quick, masses of torque that would light up the rears without even trying. Had to play the "dumb Brit" a couple of times to avoid a motoring penalty. Some may slate the car but I loved it. True American Muscle.
I am getting itchy feet...
The S-Max will be 3 years and nine months old in May when I would have owned it for three eyars and will have covered about 44,000 miles. I love the car for the way it drives like a seven seat Ferrari, the comfort of the seats, the reliability, the huge range of options it came with which I would hate to be without now such as ventilated seats, Xenon headlights, cornering lights etc etc. I get an average of 33.5mpg from my diesel automatic. ... "So maybe keep it unless you can get a good deal on another nearly-new S-Max".
I like all the comments so far, but I think that and BGs are the most sensible. I will have a look around. ...
Before entering the car i noticed that the back end was sitting down at the back. Once i started, there was a slight knock/bump and it raised up to its normal position. Had it checked visually to the rear underside where the height adjustment is and all appears ok. It has happened a couple of times. Any ideas? Read more

Hi, I am having the exact problem on my c5 saloon New shape 2008 exclusive, been to Citroen for diagnostic and isn't 100% but thinks it's the height positioning valve which costs £500 just for the part. Being such an expensive part he said needs to be sure and so do I before they suggest replacing it...

Seeing as the new tyre ratings are for rolling resistance, wet braking and noise are about to come into force, I thought I'd check out how my tyres fared. My tyres are 175/70R13T
The new Kleber came up with a pretty poor rating:... Read more
Not sure why the "D" ratings are unused - I did remember reading something that had to do with vans, but can't remember where. A general explanation can be found here (no endorsement of the website/service generally - just the result of a web search):-
Hi. Any ideas why I should suddenly lose radio reception on my original Sony CD6000. All I seem to get is fuzz. I don't know if the loss of signal has anything to do with recent work carried out to replace an off side suspension mount. Trouble is, I only noticed the problem yesterday and the work was done last month (don't listen to the radio much you see) so can't really complain.
