When activating the central locking, one door is failing to lock/unlock. The lock on the failing door works manually and 'attemps' to work remotely as there is 'some' movement in the locking knob.

Front pads,if you check you should see a cable going into one pad on each side of car its held on to the damper then goes through the inner wing, you may even find the cable is broken and touching earth somewhere which is putting the light on,

If you havent got a cable to the pads then you will have another fault...

I'd try rejecting it and walking away if I were you. We had a 1.6 Leon from new and found it way underpowered. Swapped it in for the 1.9 SE TDI ...deep joy.

The fuse for my central locking, radio and cigarette lighter recently blew and upon trying to replace it, the new one also blew. I am guessing that the central locking on my polo is to blame, as it is the only one which is running whilst the ignition is off and the second fuse blew in that state. Also, the central locking has been a bit dodgy ever since i got the car!

Basically my plan at the moment is to attempt to disconnect the central locking from the electrics and replace the fuse, so that i can at least know for sure that that is the issue, then i can get round to fixing it. However, central locking does not show in any manuals and i cannot find anywhere online which suggests how i would go about doing this, therefore i am asking for help! Anyone who knows how to disconnect the central locking from the electrics, your advice will be greatly appreciated!

I had a accident in my car over a year ago and it took over three weeks before the insurance company wrote it off, I got money back for it then got another car and that was the end of it. Until the other day I was looking at another car and paid to check for the history and that came up as a cat d as that was what the dealer said it was. So out of curiosity I put the reg of my old car above that I apparently wrote off. Well it wasn't registered as wrote off so I sent the company an email to see if it was a mistake but they checked it and it definitely isn't written off. Do u think I should speak to the insurance company I wrote it off with to find out y it isn't registered as written off? Read more

Long story, but my 2002 SEAT leon is rusting badly around rear wheel arches & front wing, it's a clear case of perforation that SEAT won't admit to, it's been repainted 3 times without success, still bubbling through, anybody else had the same problem? Read more

Cymrogwyllt

I dare say that their interpretation of perforation is a hole caused by corrosion from the inside to the outside. Anything starting on the outside could be caused by a stone chip or scratch no matter how small.
