After having previous poor experience of chevrolet dealers since purchasing my epica in August 2010 a few words in praise of Cawdor cars in Carmarthen who did the 2nd year service with all the necessary bits done correctly, including brake fluid, fuel filter air filter oil filter AND correct grade of oil! and returned the car clean and tidy. Has anyone purchased one of those steam cleaners that are advertised across some of the TV shopping channels, in various shapes.

They look pretty convincing and would like any feedback from anyone on here that has actually bought one. Were they worth the money, and do they do the job? Read more

How much would I get as a trade in on a 55 plate Nissan Almera 1.5S with only 37,000 miles on the clock, a full service history and finished in metallic silver? Downsides which could affect resale are non functioning air con and a considerable number of scratches and scuffs caused by being parked on the street. Read more

Primeradriver-There's no point applying logic . The original question is a roundabout way of saying that the OP wants a new car and doesn't like the cost of the (unnecessary) change. I've tried many times to explain the economics of new car vs current car and the point never hits home.

Hi, some of you may remember I had a fuel supply issue which was fixed with the addition of a one way valve stopping back draining probably due to an air leak in the non Ford primer pump/filter assembly.

Just recently, I've been having a few starting problems and noticed a large inrush of air when removing the filler cap, so obviously a vacuum is being set up.... Read more

Very strange indeed.

Just took out the fuel filler cap and there was a slight hiss....

Hi People, just a quicky.

Do you think that a potential customer purchasing a new/used car is required to ask the dealer about the technology inside the car, for example - On the Diesel Particulate Filter? and what driving styles have to be changed for.... Read more

Hi guys. You're probably not interested but im so happy i felt like telling people haha. You may have seen me championing the Peugeot 406 before, i had an HDi executive Auto before someone crashed into it last year. At the same time i bought that, my mother bought one, she has recently decided to go for something a bit smaller, so i sold my Focus which i was not inspired by, and have bought the 406 off her.

Its a gorgeous motor, 01 reg in silver. 2.0 Executive Automatic. Petrol. My parents are the type of people who maintain cars to the letter, anything it needs, it gets and this has only done 36,000 miles from new, about 10,000 since my parents bought it. Absolutely spotless and they knew how much i missed my one when it got wrecked. Theres one almost identical on Auto Trader right now for just under £2,000 but in my opinion this one is worth more, i'd have been happy to pay more also but mother wouldnt allow it LOL!... Im delighted to report that after a couple of weeks all is well :)

Apparently the Air Con had never been turned on in all the time my parents had it, i used it at the weekend as im sure you're aware it was jolly warm, for a 70 mile motorway trip and it was like being in a fridge....

'biodiesel' is a broad term. Do you mean SVO or transesterified VO? The latter sort of works if it is good quality (ie there is very little water), the former doesn't. TBH, though if you're not sure, don't bother. No one will stand behind homemade fuel with a guarentee.
