So I recently had a conversation with Thames Valley police and it seems that the dealership I bought my car from have apparently failed to get the paperwork to the dvla or the dvla have fluffed it.
I am now also receiving an mot reminder for a car I've never owned that would be due about the same time as I thought I was going to need my current car squared away.... Read more
I think the MoT reminder is a red herring; they're produced by MoT stations and not DVLA. ...
HI, I ordered a Napa NPAAFB027N from National Tyres and they have fitted an Exide AGM EK600 60ah. I'm just after a bit of advice as to whether there is any difference in quality. I'm thinking I will contact their customer services as the order is clearly printed with the Napa battery details and 5 year guarantee and it's a different battery fitted. Thanks. Read more
Exide are original equipment supplier to Vag models . Never seen a napa battery on a VW . Your choice.
Many VW Group models have Varta batteries as OE.
I do a lot of city driving, probably around 50/70 mile a day and occasions I’m down to London from Scotland once/twice a week - I'm wondering whether I should go for a 2020 rav 4 hybrid or a 2021 plate 320d xDrive MHT M Sport 5dr Step Auto for best mpg - what would you guys suggest?
Cheers

Maybe look at 320i instead. Mine did an easy ave 45+mpg. With petrol round here a good 30p ltr cheaper than diesel.
Hi,
I bought an Audi A4 2008 TFSI petrol last summer and started having problems with it. Went to a garage nearby in SW London and the mechanic told me that it has a broken valve inside the engine and the repair will easily cost over £1000 because it's a big job. The oil pressure light was coming up on the dashboard while I was driving so after a couple of checks and repairs he finally found out that the engine misfires and the broken valve is the cause. If I drive the car for more than 20-30 min the oil pressure and engine lights will come up again. I was told I shouldn't drive it like this because the car might stop at any time. ... Read more
A PCV valve would be £200-£300 but is easy enough to check at home (after watching a YouTube video). You just detach a little pipe and give it a shake. I doubt that's it, though. After reading a few other comments, it does seem that your problem is coming from the oil.getting thinner as it heats up. That suggests it's not an inlet valve your garage was talking about. I would take it to VW / Audi specialist (not a main dealer) for a second opinion before spending any more.

Thanks. Jim1994 has now left the building.
Thank ye verry much...
Could anybody please tell me if a Seat Leon extended warranty would typically cover problems with a clutch master cylinder ?
Nb Not sure if that is the problem - clutch pedal has not returned twice today but then works fine. Bit disappointed after 40,000 miles of very careful driving.... Read more
That's interesting and has cheered me up!
The last thing I need at the moment is a large unexpected bill - so perhaps it wont be as bad as I think....

We've been over all these issues time and time again and quite recently in recent EV threads. I really can't see there's anything further to add and given the likely direction this thread will take I'm putting it to bed early.
