Worked, but when I was about to use it it occured to me that the switch didn't actually offer much advantage, so I just used the wire as a jumper

The light for the Transit being at green is not conclusive proof that the light for the Nissan was at red. Many traffic lights show a green light for both directions at the same time, in which case the onus would be on the right turning car to move into the junction and wait for oncoming traffic. So the Nissan is at fault (an the Audi is just driving badly like Audi drivers do) but they haven't necessarily jumped a red light.

Hi,
I have had a number of issues lately with the injectors and EGR valve which have been looked at and resolved to some extent and to a lot of cost. However, recently the Engine System Fault light comes on when the car is cold and limits the performance but it will allow me to change up through the gears slowly and within 10 mins or so the car drives lovely. When stationary however I sometimes can feel the engine chugging slightly and some fumes are noticeable when in the lower gears. In general though, once warm the car drives well but I do need to resolve these issues. Have paid out lots to get the injectors, seals and EGR issues sorted so am really reluctant to spend much more. When you say there is no injector pulse,is there a spark at the plugs?A problem with the ect sensor will not cause a no injection situation.There is only one sensor that will stop these starting,and that is the crank/rpm sensor.If you have a scan tool,thn you should be able to check live data from the crank sensor engine speed.
Please help if you can. I have had an intermittent problem starting the engine for a month or so, always started first click before, but lately between 2 and 20 or so attempts to get going. It seemed to right itself a couple of weeks back, but it started happening again since, and today after 10 minutes of trying we finally got going....I pulled over to text I was on my way, and it conked out (first time it's done this. This time when I tried the ignition nothing happened at all (no cranking or clicking although dash lit up)...only a run-away whirring noise from the engine that kept going with the key removed (for about 10secs).
After cursing for a short while, I tried again and it started...only to stall as soon as the revs went down). Now it is as above with no crank, and the whirring continues with the key out.... Read more
If the motor was jammed with swarf, and the replacement has gone the same way, then you need to bite the bullet and get the box out and fit a new clutch and DMF. Or scrap it!
I've brought a ford KA 2001 and after changing the battery and starting it up the radio is asking for a code.

There should be a white plastic lever,part of the latch unit,where you engage a flat screwdriver,and move it across to open.I have seen some models with a plastic sleeve covering the latch,so it is not easily visible.the sleeve just lifts off.
