I have just replaced electric folding wing mirror, drivers side as soon as i connected it and powered on it closed, as the other was open it was out of sync and after being told that they needed to be in the same position when attached so i did this connecting them both folded then powered up and the new one opened with the switch on closed and the other remained closed so they are out of sync, anybody any ideas. Wouldn't it be easier to have 3 small separate discs (that cannot be forged) in the bottom left hand side of the windscreen. that shows the tax, M.o.T. and insurance details of each car. Surely, this would greatly reduce the number of illegal cars and drivers on our roads ? And then have a standard fine for each offence. i.e. £1000 no tax, the same amount for not having an M.o.T, £3000 for no insurance and a12 month ban (more for repeat offenders) ! Read more
I agree, crush their cars, it hurts their pockets and keeps more uninsured cars off the streets.
Also, close the loopholes for drivers claiming to be in the 'trade' and using traders insurance.

Nice.
Saw a nice C class Merc coupe (the previous version) up for sale on Motorpoint the other week - a manual version as well, and considerably cheaper than the other autos of the same age/mileage. Unloved in the UK as luxury cars almost always have to be autos of some description, especially Mercs.
