There are probably lots of unused holes in the engine.unless you have taken anything out of it,I would not worry too much.

Just reading a few a articles on pre reg cars and saying about buying one before the tax rules come in on the first April "New car buyers looking to beat the new VED rules will now have to opt for a pre-registered vehicle to get a car before the new road tax rates commence on 1 April"

The way that i look at it, You will still be able to buy pre reg cars after the 1st April 2017, Just has long as the car registered before the 1st April 2017.
I am thinking about buying a pre reg car or a car that was a demonstrator after April with that will come under the old road tax rules, But i just found some articles that i have read confusing.

Bought a 2014 Toyota Yaris Icon+ Diesel from a Toyota Authorised Dealer (Motorline) in October 2016. I had done 59,000 miles on it and had actually been serviced in May/2016 around 58,900 miles. At the minute the mileage is at 62500, so I have done around 3,500 miles since purchasing it. I drive 20 miles to work everyday and back (so 40 miles in total) and most of it gets done on the motorway. So around 30 mins (15 mins one way) in total everyday on the motorway.

Anyways, recently an orange spanner light popped up on the dashboard. This was followed by the engine management light. I took it to motorline bromsgrove. They said that the DPF needs regeneration and initially, they were going to charge me £101 as they said it should be covered under toyota warranty. Then they called back an hour later and said that they called toyota and toyota would NOT cover it under the warranty. They said, normally they would charge £475 but if I get it done today by them, it would cost me just £310. That actually made me more suspicious of them. So I got them to email all this to me and I got my car back instead after deciding that I might go get a second opinion (and here I am :)). ... Read more

on the question of fuel, my neighbour who runs a van and Lorry dealership always asks for proof that the owner is using non supermarket fuel before considering a warranty claim.

Several years ago there were problems with some Kia's having fuel filter problems in the winter months....

Son just passed his driving practical test and we enquired with my wife's insurance company as to whether he could be included on her policy as a named driver. They said no.

Can you have more than one policy on a vehicle? Say if we got him a policy with another company solely for him as the main driver. Is it possible, or am I right that you can't? Read more

Similar thing happened to a classmate (not really a freind, just someone I knew) of mine in 6th form (~25 years ago) - if I recall correctly, he borrowed his Dad's BMW, lost control on a bend driving too fast and (eventually) had a nasty crash into another vehicle coming in the opposite direction. The passenger (another classmate) in his car was killed.

Too many powerful cars in the hands of inexperienced drivers. To me, the OP's first comments sounded like they wanted to front their son as the secondary driver of his wife's car when he would be the main (or at least equal in terms of usage) driver. If it was, that's not a good idea, especially as if the insurance company finds out, they'll cancel the policy and likely report them to the authorities. Even worse if the son had a serious accident if 'insured' in that way....

Having been enlightened by a previous post I have continued to look at B-Max s. I have already learned that my motoring requiries petrol. A significant number of B-Max s are powershift.

Again I appreciate it varies but what views do BRs have on this system ? Any general comments on car also appreciated and used.... Read more
