Is there anyone out there who has ( or knows who might have ) the software, interface lead and technical knowledge to re program the Dynamic 110AH controller on a Rascal 329LE Mobility Scooter please?

Manufacturer fails to respond, importer and local dealers all clueless.

Based in SW England but can post unit to someone having the equipment and knowledge.

My Idiot of the day for Monday was the chap rumbling along Yorktown Road in Sandhurst on 3 tyres and the front offside rim. The remains of it's tyre was flapping around almost completely shredded and from the incredible noise it was making I didn't think the wheel would last much longer. Still, he was gripping the steering wheel with great determination, almost leaning on it, he was definitely not going to let a small thing like a flat tyre stop him!

After child #1 (and thoughts of #2) we a relooking to upgrade our unexciting but very reliable Honda Jazz for something with a bigger boot, more legroom and more power but equally nothing too long. Also a bonus if it can take bikes or a roof box on occasion.

Ideally petrol as will spend most of the week on London roads. Though will get motorway/A-road useage every few weeks.... Read more

Hi how reliable, in general all the Peugeot 207 THP vs the Fiat Bravo 1.4 T-Jet and Astra 1.6t? Are parts costs generally similar?

Would they be as reliable as say 1.7CDTi or 1.9 CDTI Astra for someone who commutes between a 20-30 miles round trip miles a day?... Read more

Many thanks for your suggestions.

SLO76 has highlighted the problem that most of the vehicles that fit the brief are either diesels or don't come as automatics. A prime example of the latter is the Rack Duster. I would buy one like a shot for myself except that I only drive automatics now. ...

Having just read the advice from HJ on setting tyre pressures on a LR Discovery Sport, it was suggested that tyre pressures can be set lower than recommended to improve comfort and take into account the rise in temp/pressure when the car is moving at speed.
Is this for all cars or just for the LR range.
I ask as I am now at the age where the only things that matter to me with driving are reliability and comfort - yes I have reached that stage of my life !!
I do not question the regular excellent advice HJ gives just looking to clarify. Read more

I set the pressures so that the tyre wears evenly across the tread.

On my landcruiser, the recommended pressure was too low, and the centre wore more slowly than the edges. Raising it a little gave me even wear....

Hi, I have a 2000 MK1 Renault Scienic - (So not the models that are supposed to have fuse/loom faults). My problem is the fan keeps cutting out (I have put a tell lamp in parralel so I know the fan is fine, but the power keeps getting stepped down or turned off by the control system. However the display on the controls show it as working as set and can even be altered. When working all A/C and climate adjustments seem to work OK. Read more

If the car has climate control ,then there could be a problem with the electronic speed regulator. You will need to remove the top section of the dash for access. The unit sits above the glove box, passenger side.
