Idiot of the day award - skidpan

Pulling onto the A38 today, went down the on slip and a large artic and trailer pulled over into lane 2, just like a professional driver would.

Then the idiot appeared.

He overtook the artic on the inside presumably believing the driver had moved over specially to let him through. Luckily I saw him before pulling on, simply dropped back a bit and joined behind him.

Driver then bumbled along at about 60 mph in the lane 2 for a couple of miles (only 2 lanes and no hard shoulder) overtaking several HGV's before pulling over to let the queue of traffic past.

He did look terribly old so cannot blame the old f*** syndrome.

Just a total idiot who could/will cause an accident if he does that too often.

I nominate the driver of the Audi Q7 trying to park by All Saints Church in Northampton at 12:30 today. About where the car with miss-matched door is:

Over about 10 minutes he/she was several times on the pavement at 45degree angle to traffic flow (as though in a herringbone bay) and therntrying to straighten up parallel to kerb.

GAve up watching as I has a client to see.

My Idiot of the day for Monday was the chap rumbling along Yorktown Road in Sandhurst on 3 tyres and the front offside rim. The remains of it's tyre was flapping around almost completely shredded and from the incredible noise it was making I didn't think the wheel would last much longer. Still, he was gripping the steering wheel with great determination, almost leaning on it, he was definitely not going to let a small thing like a flat tyre stop him!
