I have a friend who has a Multipla JTD that has now done 228,000 miles! I do quite like them. :) Read more
How about an MOT for £20!
- at £20 instead of £45, just what do you get.
An MOT test just like any other testing station!...
Happened to speak to a policeman about HGVs taking two miles to pass each other. He said that he and his colleagues are starting to clamp down on this. Read more
I find the majority of Truck Drivers considerate on the M/Ways and driving in Towns.Dropping the speed by about 3mph when another truck is overtaking you makes sense to me.
Why the speed limiter restriction? If this rule came from the E.U.Could it be reversed and why was it done?...
the front wipers have stopped working on my c-max. I have replaced the motor and linkage with a second hand unit (that was sold as working) Is there a way to test if the motors are ok with a meter?
The fuse is fine and the relay clicks when I press the wiper stick on the steering column.... Read more
Have you checked for a power supply to the motor with ignition and wiper switch turned on?Also I think you will find there are 2 fuses for the wiper circuit.hth
hi, i,ve just replaced my steering column switches for the lights and wipers and forgot to pull the battery negative lead, now without the ignition on my indicators work and the heater fan works, but it blows fuses for the wipers and another 20 amp on number 33 Read more
Really can't see how you can go wrong with this. There are only 2 plugs and they are not interchangeable.Disconnecting the battery would not have made any differece on this.I would check the multiplug connections onto the fuse/relay plate.hth
Im looking to replace my car, a Nissan Primera P11-144. 2001, Petrol, 85k on clock, 1.8 Engine.
It has started smoking on startup, possible valve seal fault which could cost upto £600, gear's are starting to get difficult to engage so there's a possibility of clutch, new tyres, new exhaust system, rear brakes, accessory belt, get the oil stain out of the rear seat - could be looking at £1500 I reckon tops.... I had a P10 Auto, SR20De - sludged up beyond anything, but rock solid until someone wrote it off. P11, I've had problems with since day one - sort of. Mainly from the dealer. Rear bumped fell off cos the seller didn't actually bolt it up, and then, I forget, but I think it was the camshaft position sensor failed - but of course, factory recall. I had it five to six years ago with 28k on the clock. Immaculate engine.
Fitted iridium spark plugs, maintained regularly. Apart from tyres, brakes and exhaust, filters and oil, it's not needed a lick of work....
I'm looking at a used 2012 model on the dealers forecourt and wondering if I can negotiate a sale in December?
I'm working on the assumption come 2014 it'll drop in value as it becomes a calendar year older.
Anyone think they'd be open to negotiating and potentially selling based on the January price (assuming I can work out what that'll be). Read more
Thanks Peter,
To be honest this is more a question of dealers advancing CAP discounts during their quietest month.
The same question should apply to a 2012 Fiesta at this time of year.
I recently moved my Operating System (if that is the correct term to use) from XP to Win 7. Being a silver surfer, I am finding it difficult to adjust things to my liking and would appreciate help from someone who can tell me how to do the following:

"...a recent well known consumer magazine report concluded that TNR uses less ink than any other font style."
I find that odd. Times New Roman is a lovely font in my view - very elegant and legible, but it is more "fussy" or ornate than many others. (To be technical, it has "serifs".)...

There still are women dying post partum from puerperal fever, but mainly overseas, so I suppose that's OK then?
