At a loss my citroen heaters is blowing cold air and yet the needle is showing a reading of 60 degrees. is it possible that it could still be the thermostate Read more
Check the hoses to the heater at the bulkhead, see if they are both hot, if they are I would suggest that the airmixer flap in the heater isn't working, if its mechanical maybe the cable has become disconnected, if its electronic, failure of the flap motor is quite common. If one or neither hose is hot you likely have an airlock as previous post, disconnect one hose and pour coolant into the header tank until it flows from both pipes.
I've been reading alot of problems that people are having with this car.most of you that fix your own cars miss out one important thing out.Firstly only buy parts for the fiesta from ford.as parts from spares companies are not up to spec.when changing the injector seals the alloy bolts that hold the injectors in must be replaced aswell-they stretch. If not replaced within a few weeks the injector will leak again Read more
Thanks for this. Moved to Technical.
So, it seems the way to crack the nut of selling EVs is not price, or range, or charging point availability, or battery longevity.
Its to put a desirable badge on the front, then people take it seriously. Also, 176bhp and rwd is worth a second look too for some (like me)... Read more
The future for pure-electric vehicles is in city commuter vehicles, and also delivery vans in large conurbations where each vehicle's daily mileage is small and can be predicted fairly accurately. Basically the milk-float concept but improved and adapted for other applications.
I think the market for electric versions of normal cars will grow, but will only be a small part of the total until such time as oil and gas become scarce and very expensive....
So far I have emailed 3 Kia dealers via their web sites to enquire whether the Cee'd has space under the boot for a full size spare wheel. My decision to buy or not depends on an affirmative answer.
Not one of them has bothered to reply. Life must be easy for car salesmen these days if they don't need to follow up queries. I don't feel inclined to buy a car make which has such lackadaisical dealerships.... Read more
Just say to the salesman "Please bring your manager back with you to talk to me. If he/she won't come, I walk out".

Got warning on dash - rear seat belts unlocking. So as it was a month before expiry of 3 year warranty, took it to local dealers, Bury Motors. Diagnosed problem and said new wiring loom for seat needed. Warranty work. However they also found the main crankcase oil seal and rocker cover seals had failed. Lucky I took it in and good of them to find it. New seals, new slave cylinder. They noticed oil had splashed onto timing belt so new timing belt and all aux. belts. Mileage 28000. Read more
From a number of sources, but most noticably from my close friend who is a Nissan service manager (formely a Nissan mechanic) and says both vehicles show a huge improvement from Renault in both fit and finiish and the quality of the parts used (he works on Nissan, Renault and now Dacia at his dealership)
He is only interested in the mechanical side of the car, he couldnt give a hoot how it drives or how it looks....

I have a 1999 Volkswagen Passat TDI with climate control. When I have been starting this in the morning recently, the LED display flashes with lots of 8s but then does reset after a minute or two, but the blower is not always working. Could this be the blower motor or relay? Read more
