I currently own the number plate F433 TOY.
How can I go about finding if any Ferrari Spyder owners would like to buy it?! Read more
I think in the not too distant future we'll all be driving round in cars like this for when we use the car the most, commuting and shopping, at weekends and holiday time we,ll get the gas guzzlers out. PS i like the look of it.
New tyre time again for the Focus and I was wondering how long the fronts should last.
Had three pairs so far - Michelin (OE) Dunlop and Avon.
Each has lasted 25,000 miles.
My driving style is pretty average, but I suppose 25,000 is not bad for a front wheel drive diesel. Read more
Just for info, I've just had all four of my 205 / 45 / 17 tyres changed on my Focus to Falken 452's at 28k miles.
Got the deal for £ 302, all in, via an internet company with a bit of "secret code" discount.
First impressions are very good, improved steering feel and good wet road braking. ( useful at the moment!) we'll have to see how long they will last.
Why is it that parking spaces these days don`t allow for fully open doors?
I`m 6 foot tall with a 44 inch waist and clearly need room to manouver so to speak, apart from mom & toddler designated areas at supermarkets and disabled bays , unless i`m early i always have to breathe in when i get out of my car , this doesn`t happen when i park my truck in a truckpark theres always ample room , but i can`t take my truck to tesco`s!!

They've got a little bit more space to play with as well! ;)
Hello
Friends newly aquired Megane, when starting if engine is warm has erratic idle and stalling.
Once it gets going snd has done a few hundred yards all is back to normal, idle correct etc.
Any ideas, just so I can give him a clue before he starts taking bits off and ranting.
Cheers

Hi,
Have a 98 406 2.0 Petrol GLX.
The power to the climate control panel on the dashboard is dead. I have replaced the dashboard panel, but it has not cured the problem.
Anybody know how to proceed?
Thanks

Hi all,
Quick question for all of you.
I am selling my car shortly and wanted to know where I stand with respect to the following. As background, I bought a new Ford Fiesta back in 2006. The car went in for some warranty work to repair a leaking fuel injector pipe. The car is and has been working fine since it was done.
1. When selling the car, am I required to declare this work?
2. What comebacks do buyers have on me if I do not declare the work?
3. Do dealerships keep a record of the work undertaken? I.e. could the seller call up their local Ford dealership to find out the cars history?
4. Should this work necessarily be reflected in the price I am asking for the car? I.e. should I be expecting less for the car seeing as it has had this history?
The car has a years warranty remaining and to my mind, the seller should have the extra confidence in buying should anything else go wrong.
Cheers.

Most cars need at least one warranty repair, and the fault on your car was hardly earth shattering. It certainly wouldn't put me off.
Just make sure any paperwork relating to this repair is in the service history with all the other invoices and bits, and just be honest if asked. I bought our Scenic knowing it had had two warranty repairs (sunroof and parking brake) and frankly it was comforting to know the seller wasn't trying to hide anything.
If a buyer is that concerned, they can always check history with a Ford dealer anyway. Just be honest, basically. If this repair puts someone off buying, they were never serious anyway.
Good luck with your potential buyer!
Cheers

Why do they do it ?
Along the Leicestershire/Rutland A47 the other day I saw a suicidal red VW Beetle driver, then today a suicidal black Bentley driver, a suicidal BMW X5 driver followed by a suicidal motorbiker. All of them drove down the middle of the road passing everything in sight whilst crossing over double whites lines, overtaking on blind left and right bends and hill brows, what is wrong with these people ?
This road has seen numerous deaths occur, it had mobile speed cameras, police patrol cars, gatsos and still the suicide jockeys hammer along and all well in excess of the legal speed limit. Read more
.. i will use lane 2 and do a 360 round the roundabout and go straight on..
Yes, that's another good one - especially if the on-going (or straight-on) lane is a 'mean' 2-laner or big one-laner. The effect is like finding a worm-hole in the space-time continuum - a genuinely free lunch. I bet few have noticed the check-box on page 17 of tax returns that advises: "Tick here if you do not wish to pay tax this year" either.
Check with the RIAT website if you were going to Fairford tomorrow.

Its cancelled cos of the rain.....lucky we looked as we were going.
Hope its on Sunday, may have to give it a miss this year, what a pity for all the people who put so much work into this cause.

I had my own personal flypast from the Reds on Friday morning en-route to the RAF Colours parade at Fairford. Almost straight over the top of the house at about 1500' - high enough to see them for a few seconds, but low enough to make a goodly amount of noise.
If you want to go through Ormskirk, or indeed anywhere in Ormskirk, you have to go through the one-way system which takes you through the worst two-way bottleneck known to man. Worse, it is right next to a huge and unique 900 year old church which consequently has bits falling off it all the time.
It consists of an uphill two-lane road, on a right then a left bend, that just goes "bump" into one lane. Locals know this and yes, they merge! But a lot don't and the road rage is amazing.
The town is way overdue for a bypass but there are strong political forces against it.
Not sure why but there are unseen forces at work!!
sorry for putting so many posts up but my verbal diarrhoea is now cured. Read more
A couple of weeks ago on market day I drove round Ormskirk's one way three times looking for a parking space and causing congestion. ;-)
Most of the large car parks, including Morrison's and the one behind Church Walks, are accessed from the one way system, aren't they?
Actually I go through there quite often and I don't find the traffic too bad (apart from the bottleneck at the church). There are much worse problems elsewhere I think.
Right that's it I'm off to Maranello in Egham to talk money :-)
