As a design exercise and research vehicle, it's very interesting but what is its market?
Mainly rich people who are interested in unusual vehicles and probably won't drive it much. But it's probably got a lot of technical spin-off that could find its way into town cars, like the forthcoming VW Up!

I've just found out how economical the Golf V is. 53.5mpg over 5 days and 410 miles in a rental Golf Match TDI. Bad news is I prepaid a tankful of fuel on pick-up, and when I returned the car there was still almost a third left in the tank..!

I think in the not too distant future we'll all be driving round in cars like this for when we use the car the most, commuting and shopping, at weekends and holiday time we,ll get the gas guzzlers out. PS i like the look of it.
