I'm finding it really annoying that your website content is partially masked by an oversize advert for some insurance product. can you sort this? Read more
Although it looks as though the clips holding it on are likely to cause more scratching than adjacent car doors.
Great idea!-but I sort of sense that the person who created this might be someone who's difficult to live with?
I recently finally bit the bullet and bought a smart phone, CAT s41 rough service phone for anyone interested, i have the location service switched on.
Just been looking at Google maps for traffic check for SWMBO, who is on the way back from B'ham in her car, and noticed a blue dot in our home town, zoomed in and on both map and satellite view that blue dot is showing my phone's actual location, to within an arms length of where i am currently sitting.... Hi all
I wanted to see which of the following you would pick if these were the only cars on earth.... Read more
Which means you've probably done the right thing in going for the S-line. The trim level ione up from the bottom often has useful bits of equipment as standard, whereas the top of the range trim adds mainly 'cosmetics'....and that's where the manufacturers make the most money.
Me again. Intermittent starting still haunting me. I'm thinking of replacing my crankshaft sensor to rule it out.
According to the Haynes manual there is one model engine where you dont have to remove the crankshaft pulley.... Read more
What was the initial problem?
Had teh 1.6 peugeot was a nightmare but maybe I can assist you in your fix.
I had a problem starting my car in the mornings . The mechanic noticed that the rocker cover gasket was leaking oil and the oil could be leaking onto the plugs & that could be the reason why as it wasn't giving enough spark , and the battery was tested and found to be weak. I changed the gasket , spark plugs & battery. I started the car it started first time. Strated the car this morning and the problem returned. It's like a initial strong surge then cuts out and it takes about 30 sec for it to catch. It mainly happens in wet damp weather . I put a diagnosis on & nothing it's clear. Once it starts it will start first time everytime it's the initial start up that is the problem.
Any ideas on this as it's getting on my bristols. ... Read more

Can you please tell me the build date....
Hello. I recently acquired an old Peugeot radio. Better than mine and was wondering if i could put it in my Renault Clio... I took my radio out and all of the cables are different so I was just curious as to if it’s do-able with some cables or something? Cheers Read more
I’m sure it’s do-able, but I doubt there is a direct fit adapter cable available. A good car radio shop should be able to sort it without too much trouble.
Much as I like the Mazda MX5 ( had Three all Mk3's ) still have one. I cannot bring myself to look at the latest Mk4 with any degree of longing, either to look at or to sit in and drive.
Sure it looks up to date but the class of swoopy lines and sharp angles do nothing for me and the desire to save weight has lead me to consider that costs were made in doing so.
For me the cabin is cramped unlike the Mk3's , there are no door cappings only paint which I am sure with females wearing rings and guys with big watches will soon scratch and look cheap.
The top edge of the windscreen is back towards the driver so close that it reminded me of the MG Midget where everything was cramped along with the sunshades being at just the right level ( for me anyway ) to hit me square in the middle of my forehead.
With all the Mk3's I could see where the wheel arches are and gauge accordingly as with the length of the bonnet, the Mk4 I could not see the edge of the wheel arch and the bonnet made me reminisce of the Ferrari Daytona where you could see the first two feet after that it drooped out of sight and was subject to guesswork when coming close to anything.
Sorry Mazda but the MK4 for me is a big NO. That said I am sure it will receive a healthy following of MX-5 afficionados Read more
I think he's telling fibs. Seat's own blurb says that the LPG Mii will only do up to 380 miles, and I bet they're in lab conditions. Read more
I saw that letter too.
I was more concerned by the letter from the Focus driver telling of ppf issues....
