However it is probably as reliable as the Range Rover Evoke given the company's history. As always I love their designs but always feel they should employ Toyota to build them then I would consider buying them. The appearance and description would sell it to me sadly the history and having owned a 3008 has put me off having anything from this company (yes I know they have different brands but are basically the same company) If only they could improve their reliability etc they would have a winner here. The first incarnation of the 3008 won the car of the year award also from one British car magazine. Sadly it was not as well built as one would have expected, I needed to tighten the door stops every 3 months as they worked loose on mine, the rear drop down tale gate which was a selling point needed to be fixed on day one by the RAC as I sat on it and at 13 st I'm not heavy & i managed to push it out of alignment so the central locking would not work ( I believe this was a later a recal). Later in the ownership at just after 30,000 miles the clutch started to slip so a new one fitted. On return it kept hoping out of gear, so after many returns and and many weeks I think 10 + weeks I finally got it back with all the gears working with a depleted tank of diesel and not even clean and no apology. So if the new one follows in the same vain I would be very very cautious. Read more
Anything helps, I guess. Especially for a 2.0 litre, performance wise it was hampered on all fronts, economy, emissions and on the road performance wise. Especially when tested with the CVT gearbox (allegedly, I found no issues with the CVT Forester that I drove for a day) And as mentioned in the article, the high price didn't help, even if you factored in the generous supplied equipment levels and four wheel drive. I'm a bit miffed that the 1.6 turbo engine from the Levorg won't be offered, but I'll be in the market for another car in 2019, so I'll defer purchasing until I actually get a real time road test in one. I no longer trust most magazine test drivers reports about Subaru cars. They seem to be extremely biased for German diesel cars for some reason (can't think why) Read more

You state that " Both engines will be available with Suzuki’s SHVS hybrid system, which provides a mild economy boost."
This is incorrect - only the "conventional" 1.2 engine has this option ! Read more
As we correctly state, both the 1.2 and the 1.0 BoosterJet engine will be available with the SHVS system for this new generation Swift.

I've had my 2006 Ford Mondeo for 4 years and got it for a bargain price, been happy with it but the last two MOTs have cost £400 or so and the next is due end of March.
I recently put in a new drive shaft after hitting a pothole, there are various problems with sensors and the clutch so I feel the car has reached end of life and no longer wish to MOT or keep it on the road.... Read more

Hi all - alternator. New one fitted and running fine again now. I had the battery changed 4 months ago, wonder if it was actually the alternator. New belt too as some of the piece had damaged it.
Re the comment above... We have owned: 2CV. Dyanes, Visa, AX, BX, ZX, Pug 307 and currently Pug 2008. Reliability has never been a problem with any of them at all..... So when we change we will certainly look ar the DS7 Crossback. I hope I don't regret saying it but I have complete confidence in PSA vehicles.
In fact I've had troubles with Honda, Toyota and VW but as yet PSA vehicles have been faultless. Perhaps we have been lucky with the vehicles we bought AND the fact we have had exceptional dealers for servicing.
