Hey,
Hope this isn't breaking any rules. I have one of these driving experiences that I'm giving away to raise money for Cancer Research UK. I've done one of these days before and they're great, but no point doing one twice so this one I'm raffling off!... Read more
My Fiat Panda's 1.2 2005 front brake pads is not great, it feels sort like a soft pedal under hard braking and more effort to stop quickly than the previous pads was with when I bought the car, the name of pads is made by Sachs are this the rubbish one? I got it from Eurocarparts for £13.99 it has been fit 2 months ago with approximant 2,000 miles and I'm still not happy how it goes. I have already got a new brake fluid and new disc so there is nothing wrong my brake system. I will have to buy other one a better quality pads for better to stop in good distance. There is three names of company to choose is EBC greenstuff, Ferodo and Mintex.
Has anyone ever try those three manufacturers name? I do not care about more dust on my alloy wheels and the price if it is expensive.... Read more
It's hardly worth buying copy parts at that price
I do seem to remember that a long time ago if I needed parts for my Fiat Uno the dealers were very reasonable

Since having the above car, it has most parts replaced and we now have a constant change of exhaust.
It has been said that there is too mcuh vibration on the engine? Could this be the reason why I have to have the exhaust changed (even under warranty) and I am not sure how long the garage will keep replacing. The last exhaust has been less than six months and it is blowing already.... Read more
Did they just replace part of the exhaust? If so then it's likely another section has simply failed through old age or damage done while replacing another part.
It isn't a good model btw. The 3cyl 1.0 is notorious for timing chain problems so listen for the chain rattling, if it doesn't go away very quickly after starting then it's on its way out. Watch for failing steering racks too. A Fiesta 1.25 or Micra 1.2 would be better options.
Hi all,
I bought a 2007 (MK6) Ford Fiesta back in November and something happened today which has thrown me completely and also Google cannot help!... Read more
Cheers, left the battery disconnected all night and just reconnected. Still got the same problem. I can only think the ecu is knackered as i can't see all the relevant fuses going at the same time could they?
My skoda fabia petrol has started over-revving when warm. It seems to push the car along even when I take my foot off the accelerator. When I touch the accelerator very slightly the over-revving stops briefly and then starts again after a few minutes.
When I stop and put into neutral the engine is revving very loudly and there is a very bad smell like paint stripper, the rev counter climbs up to 2500 rpm and then gradually goes down to 2000 and back up again.... Read more
They haven't done any tests. Just ordered the part based on fault code and booked me in for next Wednesday to replace it.
Don't expect them to cure it then. Just because an O2 sensor fault code is stored does NOT mean the O2 sensor is the problem. In fact it most likely isn't. Try giving the throttle body a thorough clean, and get someone with VCDS to perform basic settings to recalibrate it.
Hi everyone,
I know the title might seem fishy but it is a a long story.... Read more

A simple fix just by pressing the button in the centre of the dial for a few seconds until the motor engaged and the window resets itself
The battery light comes on when I am above 3000revs but goes off again if I drop below. There is also a whirring sort of sound when I accelerate or rev the car but the acceleration is as normal. I'm wondering if this could be the belt slipping or badly worn making the noise and the light come on or possibly the clutch pulley on the alternator. Any ideas would be gratefully received! I'd suspect the alternator pulley.
