Hi guys,
I'm new to this forum and i'm pretty crap with my knowledge about cars so thought i'd post and see if any of yous could help me out. My grandad is looking for a wheelchair adapted vehicle. We've found a local company and we've seen some half decent reviews from them so we are keen to get one from them.... Read more

I have recently had a warranty claim refused by my Audi main dealer.
Here is a thread outlining my issue... Read more
If they refuse the claim then someone can fix it. No way is that a £2000 repair - that is the Audi approach of just putting a whole new unit in.
There are loads of specialist car audio and electronic repairers around who could fix that for you. Alternatively, have you tried yourself with a bit of glue?...
I got up yesterday the car didn't start thought I'd turned the key too fast so tried again the car started. I travelled 0.6 miles and the car cut out losing power steering and the breaks were almost out. I tried starting it again and it just wouldn't start. I left the car and went back a few hours later it still wouldn't start, the spanner lights on also the traction control and ABS light but not flashing on constantly.
The car had a new coil pack 2 months ago, a complete service in Feb and complete new exhaust. I have tried disconnecting the battery, tried the spare key nothing.
A friend put it on his diagnostic last night and got code PO301 cylinder 1 misfire, so I replaced all 4 spark plugs still nothing.
Has anyone any ideas what the problem could be battery, starter motor etc?? Also a way to start it so I can get it back home.

Thanks think I'm going to try a new battery tomorrow.

Hello, can anyone help me with a gear changing problem on my 2005/6 grand Cherokee 2.7 auto..gears are often not changing and coming to a junction the gears stay in 4th or 5th. Once you turn off and on ignition the problem goes away... Only for a while but always returns.. What is also relevant is the manual mode and cruise mode doesn't work when in this state. But again all is restored after engine restart...I paid for a 12month warranty but its I surprise that any diagnostic or software upgrade is not covered. Any one got any suggestions please ??!

Just to update everyone and for anyone who has a similar problem.
The gear change problem has now been fixed following a great job by crawley auto fit ltd.
A £20 diagnostic revealed error codes P2767 and P2784 which identified the computer circuit board was at fault inside the Mercedes Benz built automatic gearbox.
The faulty board was replaced, cost £250, plus new oil and filters.
Car now running perfectly.
Total cost £634 of which the warranty company agreed to pay £330.

Phil
I have a problem with my Grand Espace. In September last year the car started making this noise when the engine turned off, it was the final sound you can here. It also makes the noise when you take your foot off the accelerator at slow speed. Ive heard it described as a gurggle, a rattle, a vibration, you name it. Ive had the timing belt replaced, the alternator replaced and other work, still the noise is there. Can anyone help me find the cause. Read more

I have been offered a Honda Civic 2.2 cdti on a 08 plate with the same engine number n22a2, it comes with injectors/ fuel system and turbo. My question is are they the same engine as in a straight swap into the CRV thanks Read more
First port of call is here is to check what parts are common to both engines.

My parents had a Peugeot Partner under the Motability scheme. They chose it because of ease of access into the front seats - they are a good height, and the sills aren't too wide (the latter can be a bit of an issue with some cars if you have restricted mobility). My father bought it after my mother went into a care home. It's now six years old and has been totally reliable. It has only covered 22,000 miles in that time, with mainly town running, although my father at 84 is savvy enough to give it an occasional motorway blast.
