The main long term electrical issue with the 407 is the Rear light cluster earth problem.

Other than that its just general wear and tear with age.
The display fades and breaks up after about 8 years.
The wiring loom to the engine cool fan can fail. Its used far heavier because of the DPF regenerations and burns out over time.
ABS sensors can cause a problem as rust and grime pushes them away from the hub.
Thankfully all are pretty cheap easy fixes and very well documented. There's a great community of 407 owners on their forum.
The problems I generally see are man-made. People have bodged things in order to sell the car because they can't be bothered spending money on maintenance - mainly centered around topping up the DPF additive tank.
