They should emulate the Dacia/Renault dealership alliance as Peroduas are re-bagged Toyotas.

Hello,
I'm currently on my 3rd C4 Grand Picasso over nearly 7 years (all contract hire) and I'm now considering the new 2014 model. Previously the cars all had roof rails (which I need), however I'm not really clear on the roof rail/bar setup on the new model - can anyone enlighten me?... Read more

The above is the cab on my motorhome having done 15000 from new with full msh. The service book says the cam belt reqs. changing. Is it necessary with the low mileage and if so do the tensioners, pulleys and water pump req, changing also. Read more
Changing the ancillaries might seem expensive, especially with not many miles covered.
But ask this, how much is a replacement engine ?
Hi, whilst looking at a few bargain basement cars at local forecourt the seller there told me about a Ford Ka he had just got in. I went to view it out the back where it is waiting some preparation, and it does look nice, but I noticed the following
1) it has had a recent window broken, there is glass on inside... Read more
Start by checking the vin # on the windscreen matches the number in the registration document. The vin # may also be stamped in the floor, under drivers carpet. However as a bargain basement purchase,I would be more worried about the condition of the underside of the car, regards to rot and corrosion. These are notorious for tin worm and often makes these un economic to repair.
Had one of the new Clios just for half a day, a 0.9 TCe Dynamique no less. I didn't have it long but it made quite an impression in a short time

Funnily enough I too had one of these for a day last week as my Laguna coupe was in the dealers (it's got to go back again when the needed part arrives - one of those things with complicated modern cars).
I agree with your observations, especially the suspension being quite comfy (mind you, my Lag coupe's is rock hard) and the seat seemed fine (I saw HJ's review where he said the wheel/pedals on RHD ones are a bit "out" and as I do sometimes have back probs, I was a tad worried, but it seemed OK for me)...
Today I was passing the local Subaru dealer so I popped in for a look at the new Impreza. An extremely well equipped car, plenty of rear legroom, no electric parking brake, sensible sized petrol engine, 4wd with low range. Mpg is similar to my B class, mid 30s round town. Ideal for me.
They now come with a 5 year warranty and for just shy of £18k on the road it looks excellent value, especially in about 12 months when they will have lost a chunk of depreciation.
The only big downside for me was no spare wheel and speaking to the dealer no option to have one. Yet looking at the car there appears to be room under the false floor for one as I suspect they will be provided in other Countries.
Definately on my "one to consider" list. Read more

You'd think that wouldn't you?
I looked at a Forester last year but gave up because secondhand they were ridiculously expensive (and only really sold at Subaru delaers)....
Hi. If the radio unit is still as factory-fitted is it possible to acquire the pin mumber with just the car registration number? I only ask on behalf of my daughter who will struggle to pull the unit out to get the serial number. Read more
Ford Main Dealer can probably do it from the registration number but will charge £££££'s for doing so!
Tell Daughter to try pressing buttons 1 and 6 together, or 2 and 5, which sometimes works to give the serial number....
Hi Hj. I can't do the pedal trick on my car because the throttle goes mad and the Eml and spanner lights keep flicking on and off...at the same time the throttle butterfly opens and closes. When I leave the ignition on without starting the engine the throttle body motor clicks and tries moving the butterfly every minute or so. I've cleaned the breathers, car drives ok but keeps cutting out at roughly 3k revs then starts again again after blipping the pedal. Got any ideas please? Thanks. Dave Read more
