Hi, new to the forums just bought a bmw x6 and found a button which I can't find any reference to in the manuals any ideas what it does?
It is a 2008 x35d and the button is in the drivers footwell area. Nothing evident happens except it lights up as an orange led but it must have a function?

My other half started his micra tonight to go to work, felt the battery maybe a bit lazy but it started ok - he drove about 100 yards and it cut out. Struggled to re-start it and then the engine light came on.
He stopped engine to see whether the engine light would reset but then it wouldn't restart as battery had flattened.... Read more

One other thing, do check you haven't got an odd 24v bulb lurking about, they will work in 12v system but will be dim.
I've had to sort out the chaos that is my spare bulb stock, somehow managed to mix some 24v bulbs in there over the years...the trouble is that you need a blinkin microscope to read the letters on the bulbs and my near sight isn't getting any better.

the bus has seat belts on the side of seat at the top in a triangle .when pulling ,the triangle tilts and the belts gather ,really getting stuck and its imposs.to get the belts down while sitting ,even while standing and even more difficult through the child seat .they also do not retrackt even a tiny bit .when i release ,mine it just hangs down over the seat .i dont have time to keep feeding it up and and down .last sep.i pulled a muscle and it took about 3 weeks to get better .... Thanks. Had a mechanic look at it today and they have confirmed it is an aftermarket switch. Next job is to trace it and see what it does.
