The top ten criteria is wrong! It does not take into account the population of each county or how likely litigation is dependent on how wealthy an area is. There are some truly appalling roads in rural areas and not just potholes! Missing, obscured or worn out white lines. Broken or missing cats eyes. Traffic islands unlit. Street lighting turned off or in need if upgrade. I am actually scared to drive on rural roads at night some urban roads too! Energy saving street lighting is dangerous and makes road markings hard to see!

Hi, just wondered if anybody could give me some advice. I recently bought a 2000 Almera Tino and i noticed last night that when the steering is on full lock both ways it makes a bit of a noise and almost resists turning that last little bit. I had a quick look at the cv joints on both wheels and the rubber on them seems intact. I have plenty of power steering fluid. Also when driving it seems to want to pull to the left a bit, its almost heavier to pull it to where it should be. Don't know if thats the tracking that needs doing or its something to do with the noisy steering. Any help would be appricated before i get someone to look it over..

The power steering sounds normal to me, it will feel funny and make a slight noise at full lock as its loaded up.
it wont hurt to get the wheel alignments checked on a new car purchase but make sure you take it somewhere decent that has good equipment.
Although I applaud the intention of the 'Real MPG' figures - there is clearly no validation going on of the figures/submissions made.
I say this only because I thought I'd look at some figures for various cars etc.... Read more
I think it's the website that's misbehaving. The 44,000 is shown as the total number of Real MPG submissions across all makes. For other makes when you click on the make it shows a much lower number, e.g. 900 for SEAT, but for Infiniti it stays at 44,000.

I tried switching and because my old insurer delayed confirming my max NCD, my new insurer cancelled my policy. Result: no online service will touch me and I have been refused insurance by others (which is another black mark). Had to go via a broker to get cover!
