Ok, so I have a Fiesta, when I bought it I had a new clutch fitted at mr clutch as the clutch had gone on it. Its been perfect for the last 4000 miles
Now, when I change gear, If I come back on the throttle a bit too quick (before totally releasing the clutch) the engine will stay at whatever rpm it was at before I totally released the clutch until I come off the throttle then it will drop down to the correct RPM, so I took it into Mr Clutch on friday, they checked the clutch and done a road test and found no problem. ... Saying that, when the car is not in gear, and I have not got the clutch pressed to the floor, there is a noise coming from the clutch, as soon as I press the clutch down the noise dissapears.
Could it be related?

I'd have said five years/50k is about right for sphere life.
Just got rid of my 2000/X Xantia estate.Original spheres were replaced in 2007-8 and replacements were completely shot. Front and rear so firm that ride was dangerous. I'd foolishly ignored a couple of instances where it had handled oddly under emergency braking. When I finally took it in garage gave me strong advice to nurse it home and not drive it again. New car was already on order and Xant had other problems such that it went for scrap....

The bonnet release handle clips into the metal frame of the bodywork ,by the door pillar.Water ingress into drivers footwell could be caused by the bonnet cable grommet not beiing refitted properly where it passes through the bulkhead,or it is common for the sealing to leak where the brake servo is attached onto the bulkhead mounting plate.

Who is the operator?
Are they members of the BPA? This is important.
Are three to start. Pepipoo will help. If you search their forum for the operator who gave you your invoice I'm sure there will be similar cases to yours.
My daughter has just bought a Renault Clio 1.2 petrol 2002. When she started driving and tiring the wheel there was this noise so we took it to a Machanic and he put links on the tires the noise was still there. Then took it to another Machanic and he said the driver side shaft had gone so he fixed it. Got the car home and every time you turn the wheel left the same noise was happening so took it back to the second Machanic he said the passenger side shaft had gone so he fixes it today. The noise is still present and my poor daughter has already spent over 200 pounds trying to get this fixed. Could anybody possible know what the noise could be. It grinds when you turn the wheel left. All I want as a father is for my daughter car to be safe for her to drive and she can't afford to be spending much more money on this car Read more
Moved to Technical.
Hi,
i previously made this topic about the problems i have been having
http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/forum/post/index.htm?t=102208#m110105
Now i'm thinking i might have a wiring fault as i have been making the car underboost ( no boost ) and over boost to around 2800Mbar ( 28psi? ) and stock mbar is 2346.
I have not had any faults reported in VCDS.
I took the voltages from the map sensor plug.
Pin 1 i belive is ground
Pin two 4.99
Pin three 4.99
Pin four i get 0.1
Could someone PLEASE shead some light on this. does the map sensor actualy report back to the ecu to let it know theres to much boost? Read more
As per dieselnut's advice, VCDS should be able to tell you if the MAP is performing as it should, via one of the graphs showing expected output/actual output.
Reading your previous post, you say you've removed the EGR (and N18 valve) and the valve/solenoid that controls anti-shudder? In your position, the first thing I would do would be to put the engine back to exactly how it was as factory-standard ie put the EGR valve back etc. You can't say with 100% certainty that not having these original parts in place are not a contributing factor, even though the engine may have run fine for ages minus them....

Erm!
