Vauxhall Corsa C - vauxhall - thecar

hi i wonder if any one could help

we just had the bonett cable and catch replaced on this car

does the handle catch have to be fixed to the footwell of the on drivers side or does not be fixed to the side

also we have noticed there is water in the drivers footwell on the floor someone said it could be the door seal cpuld this be right

The bonnet release handle clips into the metal frame of the bodywork ,by the door pillar.Water ingress into drivers footwell could be caused by the bonnet cable grommet not beiing refitted properly where it passes through the bulkhead,or it is common for the sealing to leak where the brake servo is attached onto the bulkhead mounting plate.
