Crude awakening asked HJ and he replied :-
Why does diesel fuel cost up to eight pence per litre more than petrol? It features a lower fraction of the crude oil from which it is made, requires less processing and is used in volume by commercial vehicles, so should be cheaper. ... Read more
When transporting freight and commuting to work is penalised more heavily than frivolous foreigh holidays, you know priorities are very wrong.
Actually I wanted to say this but you are braver than me ! When you look around airports so many people are there just because its cheap so their frivolous journey is justifiable..Oops have I gone too far...
Hey Guys, hope someone can help.I've just changed the front brake pads on my 2002 laguna2.I did the usual manual pushing in of the pistons with a lever to allow the new pads to fit-pushed them right home though,so maybe too far???I also did this without opening the bleed screw(doh!)-which always worked fine on other cars. But,when i did the passenger side, some brake fluid squirted from behind piston rubber dust shield as it went home. This has never happened on any other car brakes I've done before.(Both pistons retracted slowly and evenly) now when I press the brake pedal hard it goes to the floor slowly when the car's running .It stays solid when engine is off.
I've tried to bleed the n/s caliper but the spongy pedal remains and still goes slowly to the floor. Please can you shed some light on my problem- I really need my car to help get my disabled mum around.Regards Mark. Read more

Hi.. I wonder if anyone could help with a problem I have suddenly got with my Mk1 TT? I was driving normally down the road when a loud bang came from the off-side front wheel.. I pulled up and could see no obvious damage but when I turn the steering wheel it goes so far and makes a clunking noise. There's obviously something wrong with it but not sure what? I'm going to have to take it to the garage but could anyone please tell me what the likely cause is and possibly how much I'm expected to pay for repair? Many thanks if anyone can help Read more
Probably a broken spring. Shouldn't be to expensive.
I bought my Touran New from a dealer who has since gone bust. Can I pursue VW via the small claims court for a manufacturing fault (ESP Tevis Mk60) or am I stuck because I can't go via the suppying dealer? Their good will offer was 20% but the local dealer did assure me in an email that the orginal faulty design had been fixed and the fault would not reappear in the replacement repair kit. Read more
If its still under warranty then any VAG agent can be approached.
When driving on the motorway i can get upto speed fine(70mph), but when i slow down and let the car coast(not apply the brake) the car seems to jolt(when changing down from 4th to 3rd). Once this happens, if i try and switch to manual mode this doesnt work(dashboard doesnt change). The car also seems to go into default mode and rev's more than usual. If i carry on i get 'Engine System Fault' message on the dashboard. I think it may be a gearbox issue but just thought i'd ask for advice incase anyone else has experienced this before.
