I'm looking for information ref MAF Sensor signal wire voltage, with sensor disconnected and ignition switched on. Scan result DTC P0103 Mass airflow high(119.41grams/sec) voltage on signal wire, pin 5 on connector, is 1Volt below battery voltage. Trying to decide if this is a PCM failure or sensor failure. On trying to startup this evening, I lost all electrics for about 30 seconds.
At first notch on ignition normally you hear the fuel pump pressurise briefly before you start the engine. This evening, it just clicked then all the electrics then went off. Dash board displays (mileage, outside temperature, clock etc) and radio all blank, start motor didn't kick in. Quiet clicking noise behind dash. Removed key from ignition. I bought the car 6 weeks ago and noticed this problem straight away, although it is irritating I live with it, last week the car did its usual thing of speedo, odometer and radio losing power and engine cutting out when slowing down, when the engine kicked back in, there was a loud rumbling noise coming from the engine and also fuel consumption has doubled, i'm getting around 100 miles for £30. Has anyone any ideas on this and could it be connected to the previous speedo problem?? Read more
The speedo dropping to zero and loss of power are definitely symptoms of a failing vehicle speed sensor (vss) - not sure about your other symptoms though.
Try searching this forum for 'vss' - there are lots of posts on this problem on here, including a few from me, as I replaced mine on my old Focus.
Having spent nearly £2k on new cam belt, water pump, discs, tyres and 5,000 mile servicing, the emissions light came on and the main dealer wants £925 to replace the throttle body. Is this the only solution and is it worth it? The light is now off, can I keep on running and what harm might I do? Read more
Hi there I have a citroen xantia 1.9 HDi, the blowers worked, then only worked when they felt like it and now dont work at all, I was wondering if anyone knew of anything that could be done about it.

I don't think cars over 10 years old are that green. If you ever get behind one now, they stink to high heaven. I have to turn my fan off.
I do agree that there was an agenda to tide us over the worst of the financial crisis, but what are they going to do now that the eye of the hurricane has passed and the rest of it starts to engulf the economy on the second front....
Hi all recently purchased a kangoo 1.5dci. problems .... found a pipe had come adrift from turbo and was losing oil and was very smokey and sluggish reconnected pipe and seemed ok then found a small 4mm bore pipe going to a sensor on airfilter body that had sheared from sensor body and was spraying oil all over the place fitted new sensor and reconnected hose should this pipe have oil in it and if not what is the probable cause please????
