parking sensors

he most common form of feedback to the driver in a car with parking sensors is audible "beeps" and/or tones. Generally, the frequency of the beep indicates distance from an obstruction, with the beeps becoming faster the closer the vehicle moves to an object. A continuous tone may be heard when the vehicle is extremely close, often warning a driver to stop immediately to avoid collision.

The red/black wire was disconnected but this had no effect.

Hi

I've been quoted around £60 by a main dealer for parts & labour in replacing the bulbs behind the speedometer etc on the dashboard instrument panel - that's the lights for when it's dark, not the warning lights. I think it's 3 bulbs in total - only one has failed so far, but it's obviously worth changing the others at the same time.... Read more

The (quality OE Varta) battery in my C5 V6 has finally given up the ghost after 8 years of service - well not given up but the starter seems more sluggish than usual. I ordered a Bosch S4 to replace it, just tackled the job expecting to run out of light - 5 minutes later the car was spinning over like a dream - I was amazed to discover that battery replacement is tool-free! Well I never! What a nice surprise - who said Citroëns are always a pain to work on? :-) Read more
