Hope someone can help. My Fiesta has recently begun to have problems starting. The engine starts and then imediately dies, then won't start again. AA came out and got it going by hand priming the black bulb. It was fine rest of day, fine next day, then same thing happened. Each time it can be started by priming but there appears to be air in the fuel lines. Took it to garage and he had it 2 days, started fine every time while there, but the day after I got it back same thing happened. Garage has checked to see if air is getting in anywhere but could find no problem. Once it has been started by priming it starts and stops all day with no problems, it just the first start every other day or so that is trouble. One thing I have noticed is a ticking sound for a few seconds after turning engine off - is that normal? No idea if its connected to problem. Any ideas or advice welcome. Read more
well I know the cyclist had attitude but it would seem if your a cyclist challenging why the police are wasting their time on a minor offence ! it could cost you dear but if your into criminal damge you can get away with a caution.
The cyclist gets a wopping £900+ fine for attitude & trivial offences whilst two grown police who could of been placed better else where, when including 40K + of police car decided to hound a cyclist !! I didn't agree with the cyclist attitude but i would of been just as angry if they had stopped me, especially as in the past suffered burglary when I lived in sussex & criminal damage & theft and never any interest shown and having suffered a late night reveller recently kick my wifes car whilst he was drunk causing damage to two doors & £500 quid to repair for the guy to end up being given a caution !... My Golf 3, P reg, 2L, AGG engine has suffered from both a cracked coil and crankshalf sensor wiring insulation faults, both faults on this age of engine are very common. The coil is mounted at the top of the engine bay baulkhead/firewall abouve the ABS unit where it is very easy to check by mist spraying with water. The crankshalf sensor is almost impossible to see being fixed on the forward face of the cylinder block behind the oil filter. The sensor wiring starts at the connector block mounted on top of the front engine mounting and should then run downwards next to the oil dipstick tube.
My wife has a lovely litle Fiesta ( with aircon) it has a annoying problem. When the blower fan is switched on there is the sound of what sounds like broken or dried leaves moving about behind the dashboard behind the radio. I have tried blowing them out with the fan on full (diffrents positions) but this has not worked.
Please can anyone point me towards a remedy ? Read more
Hello I have tried the vaccum cleaner ( with narrow pipe taped onto the end) unfortunately it has not helped at all.
I am still wondering does anyone have any knowledge or experience of removing the fan blower from inside the vehicle ? the Fiesta has aircon and I doubt it is practicable to access thre fan blower from under the bonnet any suggestions are welcome (sensible )...
thanks for reply, i have done a bit of reading up on this now and managed to find the leak. there is a hand primeing pump that lead to the filter housing and they basically say to check from there to the housing as its got to have cracked, perished or or as in my case a pin hole from rubbing some where in pipes or housing. thanks again
