I have a 2006 Seat Ibiza FR TDI which has done a fault free 40,000 miles. Earlier this week, from a cold start, I noticed the climate control panel flashing as if it was resetting itself. It went back to normal after about 10 seconds. However, I also noticed that the fan sometimes does not work, and when these issues arise the folding mirrors do not work either. Everything else electrical appears to work fine. The only thing I have done that might be relevant is I changed a blown side light bulb about a week ago - have I knocked something out of place in the process? Thanks for your help in advance. Hi
Checked the module and all seems ok there, dry and all connections ok. Unfortunately my diagnostics wont read as must be ODB 1, so will have to take to the garage!!
Hi,
when starting my Vectra with cold engine when i get into neutral it goes up to 2000 rpm.
After 10minutes driving it's back to normal 800rpm idle.
There are several pending diagnostic codes:
P0100 - Mass Air Flow Circuit
P0170 - Fuel Trim
P0110 - Intake Air Temp Sensor Circuit
Do you have any ideas what coud be the problem?
Will replacing MAF help? (it looks like the air temp sensor is incorporated in the MAF)
Thank You Read more

I think I may have burnt my clutch the other day with a loaded car on a hill start.
What was surprising to me was that the car did not stall, the clutch was let out fully and then when I tried to move off, the car just revved, then the limiter came in, then it revved again and after a few seconds, smoke came out of the bonnet.... Read more
stalled in 2nd gear when doing the above so all seems ok.

Steve, I have the same problem on a '95 Polo with an AEE Engine. I have just replaced the battery, ignition coil, distributor cap (Bosh) and rotor arm. As its an intermittent fault its a such pain. I had a fault on the fuse box once before which was fixed and the ignition switch failed and had new contacts fitted a few years ago. Just seen this post from 2008 http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/forum/posts/?t=69262 which suggests to replace the fuel pump relay. Unfortunately there are no more posts after that so I guess it worked and so did not come back!
hi everyone,
i have an S reg 1.9TD that has 107k on the clock, just had a service and belt around 5k ago, only owned the car for 2 months, it has got progressively worse for juddering/struggling at around 2500rpm and upwards, there seems to to a lack of fuel, air or something when you put you foot down and it goes over the 2500 mark....
