Sorry, missed the make..
But they were seemingly pressing on the polycarbonate headlight its self to allegedly call it flimsy and then talking in terms of `starting` it (having seemingly let it grind to a halt due to lack of charge.)

Hi,
Anyone out there know the frontal area AND Cd (coefficient of drag) figures for the Citroen Xantia hatchback?
I've been looking for the figures for an engineering course project but Citroen have been unwilling or unable to help.

A colleague at work own a T reg 1999 Chrysler Voyager with 3.3 litre engine and auto box.
Just recently the vehicle lost drive and and cannot move forward or reverse.
The vehicle has full service history but has already had a replacement gearbox (which lasted a year) was replaced a few months ago and now the replacement box has now died! The ATF is correct level and is correct ruby red colour with normal smell etc. Anyone out there know if there's a simple repair or adjustment that can be carried out?
Apart from the gearbox fault, the car is good condition with FSH.
Thanks,

Diesel Fuel filters
filter 1)
The element composed of a very high quality looking `fleece`, squeezable (only done with old one) no surface imperfections.
Filter2)
looking as rough as a bears bottom, a hard wound on synthetic material with splintering off flakes standing out at angles on the surface. Bound on roughly and as hard as a rock.
Oil Filter elements
Filter 1)
Corrugated thick pleat element, uniform and quality looking.
Filter2)
Thin looking, slightly variable gap, straight element.
Can`t spell it out clearer of course, but iv`e never seen a worse way to try to save a couple of quid.
Wonder what the canister type filters are like inside?

I recall an incident that a friend (truck dealer) had a few years ago. Customer came in when his truck engine seized and tried to claim repairs under warranty Dealer refused as oil filter was not marked with truck manufacturer's name and was OEM. Customer did some reseach and got hold of OEM company video which showed a very brief clip of the filter production line - it showed the filters for OEM and Truck Manufacturer coming off same line but being sprayed with different colours and logos. Presented with the evidence that OEM was exactly the same spec except for the external packaging, dealer had to replace the seized engine.
I wondered if they have any discretion over when people are prosecuted; ie time of day and traffic conditions etc. It is obviously more dangerous to speed during the day when a road is busy during the day than it is at night when deserted. I triggered a speed camera 21 days ago and no NIP so I think I have got away with it. It was at night on an empty road,;maybe it simply had no film in it. A friend recently triggered one at 2am again on an empty road and he was not prosecuted. Read more
How could they possibly raise all that money if the operators used discretion? The whole point of speed cameras is that they are always right, to the nearest 0.1 mile per hour.
You and your chum have been lucky (as was I the other day). Next time might be different.
The completely useless press releases section on this site appears to have hit a new low with the 'favourite destination is Germany' article today.
The section that is confusing me is:
"However, drivers may still be at risk of invalidating their car insurance policy when heading abroad.
"This is because Vauxhall found that 35 per cent of people are uncomfortable travelling on European highways."
I don't understand. How exactly does not being comfortable travelling on a road invalidate your insurance?? How low do they think their reader's average IQ is? It makes no sense at all. Can someone enlighten me? Read more
I've just had a look at the offending article and a few others and can only conclude that it is part of a project involving a local primary school with trainee cub reporters asked to "rewrite the article in your own words".
The teacher in charge probably used the following tips:
"Always include the phrase 'new research has found', then people will sit up and take notice."
"Use an utterly unnecessary synonym whenever possible" (i.e. company vehicle/car - commercial automobile; high visibility vest - garment)
"State the blindingly obvious for the benefit of readers who have been asleep for the past sixty years" ("fuel duty - an unwanted cost in addition to high road tax and car insurance bills"); ("A useful piece of car buying advice for those looking for a new vehicle is to check a secondhand model thoroughly, it has been claimed.") ("Oil levels 'need to be checked regularly'")
"Change the words about a bit and forget about syntax" ("It could be that people who invalidate (sic) this law...";
"Blow the reader away with a dazzling insight every so often" ("a trend in larger cars as well as distracted drivers could also be to blame.")
If I had written such drivel at my school I am quite sure I would have been thrashed to within an inch of my life. And it wasn't a particularly posh school :-)
... by ringing them up and pointing out that buying cover from them online is 25% cheaper than accepting the posted renewal rate.
Easy money... (And yes, I know I could have gone elsewhere... like Green Flag and it would have been even cheaper.)

for example, if you combine this www.rac.co.uk/web/uk-breakdown/ with this www.quidco.com/rac-breakdown-cover/ and it would seem you can get RAC cover for £12 ? [ £33 - £21 = £ 12 ].
Just been pricing up a Scirocco on the VW Spain configurator (couldn't find one on the UK site), and there is a "BlueMotion" section where you can offset CO2 emissions:
20,000km - ?210
50k - ?455
100k - ?870
150k - ?1305

Advice please - 02 mondeo ghia x tdci 95k. Went to pick it up last week and the injector went on the testdriver. another injector had been replaced some weeks previous. Both fixed with 12 month guarantee Ford.
Is it inevitable that the other 2 injectors will go too?
SHould I just walk away given what I feel is a cheap price to pay of £2500?
(if i buy Im gonna take out a 3rd party warranty)

Hi, Audi A6 1.8T. Fitted with standard viscous-coupled fan and electric fan. All completely normal at town speeds. At high speed, the coolant temp falls to the bottom of the guage. After a bit of experimentation this turns out to be engine speed related. Anything above 3800rpm for any length of time and the temp falls rapidly. Reduce engine speed for a few minutes and all returns to normal. Thermostat changed with no improvement.
Could it be viscous fan, temperature sender, weird electrical snag? Any thoughts please. Read more
Thanks for all your thoughts. It is definitely engine speed related and not road speed.
Did you sove the problem, I have the same problem :)
hi
found this after a quick searh. it's for the 2.0 hdi, but would imagine it's the same for yours
