I have a hard wired Silent Witness dash cam. It is 3 years old and playing up. I haven't found it very user friendly so will not replace like for like. Although I may need to change the mount. Adjacent to the rear view mirror cluster at the top of the windscreen in a good position. I suppose I can use the existing wiring for a new unit. The advantage of present cam is that it is small, approx 60mm x 40mm. It has a large capacity SD card inserted too, which may be re-useable. The question is, what to replace it with? I know a lot of forum users have dash cams and would welcome comments and advice on ease of use, replacement and general usage.

Re. Cat burgling. The catalyst on my 2015 auris hybrid was also stolen while parked in a hospital car park recently. Fortunately I was able to diagnose the problem before taking it to my Toyota dealer in Guildford who quoted me at least an 8week wait and £1500 bill. I found a new catalyst online (amcarparts.co.uk) who supplied the item for £495 within a few days including lambda sensor and 2year warranty. I took the car to my local garage in New haw, Surrey who fitted it for £78. The car now works fine. I no longer take the car to the hospital though... Read more

agreed, i have a 2019 Outback and been all over the Highlands, absolutely miles better to drive than my CX-5 with its pitiful Skyactive-G petrol engine, and I too just double press the Subaru logo on the fob twice to unlock all doors.
when i had Focus's, i used to set them to only unlock driver door, and same double tap sequence to unlock all doors (mainly as during the working week, it was just me driving/in the car....
Is it obligatory for p*** poor drivers to have a dash cam fitted? Recent experience suggests that the two are inextricably linked and the worse the driver the higher the likelihood of them having a dash cam. Lane discipline, awareness and anticipation seem to go out of the window once they’re fitted. Read more

That usually tells you the drivers really dont care about the motor so its not worth it to them trying ...

i had a company come to my home to detail my Honda. They did a fanastic job by the looks of it but now the car won't start up.
The steering wheel was in the up postion and I used the start engine buttin to power up the car. The dash screen made a bunch of clicking noises and lots of blinking. The EPS! error code showed up on the screen and then it turned off. I moved the steeling wheel back to it's normal position but I'm getting the same error code and results.... Read more
